Being new to Myrtle Beach, seems the tv ads on dining and night life are a bit deceptive. On season is one thing but off is another. So after 3 different restaurants, I tried Drunken Jacks off season. First rate on or off season! Place had a good crowd. Waitress was great. Brought out a basket of the most amazing hush puppies! Like crack, you can't stop eating them. The salad bar was nothing less than fantastic. Cold, fresh crisps with lots of toppings. The seafood a bit higher than what I expected ($22 to $45 a plate) but was nothing less than unbelievable! We both split a seafood platter, each got rice, salad and soft drinks. Bout $45.

Not a fan. Definitely not for families on a budget. We came here on a strong recommendation. The atmosphere was great. If you can sit outside it will make the experience better. This was our last day here and we've enjoyed a number of local restaurants. This didn't live up to those. The service was eh. The point shrimp sandwich was It's saving grace. The sampler appetizer... They could have charged less for it. At $16.50 I was expecting just a tad more than what we received. I didn't like any of it. Overall... I didn't think it was with $50 For lunch. Especially for a tea, soda, sampler appetizer, and poboy shrimp and fries.

We really like this place, the food was great, we did have a wait because this place is really popular, but they have a bar area where you can get a drink and an appetizer... I recommend the hush puppies...they are amazing!! They taste like little donuts that you dip in honey butter mmmm....

We go to Drunken Jack's a few times a month, and each is memorable. A great menu with selections that everyone can enjoy. Right on the Marsh Walk, so you can soak up the outside atmosphere as well as indoors.

We came in as a party of 12 plus a high chair. We were told it would be an hour wait unless they split us up, but the tables would be across from each other. We said that would be fine. They sat us a few minutes later, but the tables were on two different levels. The table next to us was empty and would have accommodated us easily. We were told that it would be a safety issue to put the high chair on the end. I asked for a manager. She came over and looked at me with a deer in the head lights look. When I asked about the second table, she told me that the other table was in another server's section and that she told the girl at the front we would be separated via radio and was not sure what she relayed to us. She made no attempt to remedy the situation and hid from our table for the remainder of our stay. She even hid around the corner when we were leaving. It was also Happy Hour when we arrived. We asked what the specials were, and were told that Happy Hour was only at the bar. I ate at this restaurant two days before and the food and service were excellent. I raved about it to my family, so we all went. Needless to say, the restaurant did not make a good first impression for them.
