What brought me in today was their large signs stating huge clearance sale. There was nothing any different from day-to-day at DSW. It was just their normal clearance rack. If you're going to advertise a huge sale stand behind the offering and make it a huge sale. They got me in this time but not next time.

Wow I just spoke with Jessica. She is not a very good manager. I explained what was going on. and her reply was do you have the receipt ? we have a 60 day return policy. I asked if she listened to me ? I was not trying to return the shoes. She said you don't need to speak so rudely to me ??!! Then she said sorry "we cant help you" and hung up on me.... Are you kidding me !!! wow !!!! Unbelieveable !!! Customer Service !!! What happened to it. I went in to the Redmond Store today. I have a pair of Dockers dress shoes I bought awhile ago but recently both shoes have split on the sole in the same place. I did buy the shoes awhile ago but in my over fifty years I have never had the sole of a shoe split like this and certainly never had it happen to both shoes in a pair. I did not ask for a new pair of shoes, i just wanted a few dollars off as I believed these must have had a defect of some sort. I went to the store, waited in line and spoke to the guy on the register. He called the on duty manage,r Michael, who looked at my shoes and said this is normal wear and tear. I explained I understood they were not new but that I have never had the sole split on both shoes in a pair. If he would give me $20 off I would buy a new pair.... he said no, normal wear and tear. This could have gone 2 ways. One he could have given me $20 off a new pair I would have purchased a new pair immediately. I would have been happy and told people about my good experience at DSW Two He could tell me, no this is normal wear and tear I cannot give you anything. I am angry embarrassed and will likely not go back, I will call and speak with the store manger and /or corporate and be upset......$20 was that really worth it....customer service what happened to it !!

Terrible customer service. And I'm not talking about the floor staff who barely speak to you. I'm talking about the store manager, or whatever "title" she has. (I've only had issues in the past 6 months, so I think she may be relatively new. Or I've been lucky enough to avoid her previously.) Each time I've had a problem (i.e. mistake in return process, items not arriving in promised time period, general questions), she has always had a combative and negative approach to finding a solution. This person has no right being in customer service. I've actually walked out in tears she's been so rude, and I rarely taken the time to review a store. If she really cannot be any help to the customer or make them feel good about their purchase, she shouldn't work in retail. I might as well call customer service while I'm standing in the store, because folks working there can't help you. Definitely going to shop elsewhere whenever possible. (Hello, amazon.)
