Bumped into this place when looking for a place to eat and parked there without realizing there was a restaurant already next to us. They had just opened so the place was quiet but the cashier was very kind and told us it would be a few minutes longer since everything is fresh to order. Good things do take time after all. We got a large sweet tea to share and got chicken combos. Crispiest, juiciest chicken I’ve had in awhile and the seasoning was just as good. They also have every hot sauce possible so I tried at least three I’d never heard of. You get beans n rice, super cheesy mac ‘n cheese and the softest buttery cornbread ever. Another man working there took the time to stop by our table and see how we liked the food; he was very kind and told us to recommend to friends so here I am. Please stop by, it’s so worth it!
I stumbled across your restaurant and glad that I did. Excellent food and I loved the music too. The portions were just right. I ate there two days in a row and had to stop myself from going back the third day. Day 1: I had the cat fish. Day 2: I had the pork ribs both were very good. You could eat the cornbread and sides by themselves. Go check this place out and see for yourself.
This place was outstanding services was amazing food was delicious we took good to go for road we got 2 hour drive home can't wait till next time we're this way owner suggested banana pudding it was amazing we loved it all
Can't get enough! With every bite you can taste the care and love they put into this soul food. This is food you can't eat quietly and requires some napkins. The fried chicken drips down your chin and has the most satisfying greasy taste and crunch. The mac 'n cheese is stringy cheesy and has just a hint of a southern flavor to it. I have already made a lunch date for tomorrow to bring more people to taste this delicious food that no one on the central coast can compare to! Owner even came out to say hello wonderful people.
This food smacks! I ordered the catfish combo. Bit into first delicious catfish fillet and an OM sound started to come out of me. Had no control over it, I one with the universe lol Collard greens had the perrrrfect level of cayenne and the bacon-y Black Eyed Peas brought it all together. Oh yeah, and I washed it all down with some grape koolaid lol I will def be coming back!! ‍
Delicious! Fried chicken was crispy as heck and tasty. Crawfish with sausage and corn was amazing. Cornbread, black eyed peas, and collard greens were full of flavor! We came at the end of the day and the fried okra was out for the day. We will be back for it, though. You can tell from the flavor, they use only the best ingredients! Everything was so good. Oh, and don't skip dessert - especially if you like southern banana pudding!
Great food, service and people. Our group had the pork ribs, catfish, chicken sandwich and the crab bag with sides of greens, mac n cheese, black eyed peas and cornbread. Not 1 disappointment. Everything was great! Good music, you can bring your entire family and the Owner Ernest and his family will take care of you. If you aren't sure just ask Ernest or go with the catfish. Very welcoming also with Ernest personally checking on everyone inside. Check it out you will not be disappointed!
we stopped in today. It was a wonderful experience. 10/10 service. 10/10 food. Banana pudding was so yummy we had to take 2 home. 1 for my dad and one for us later. We will definitely be back.
I came to find this place unexpectedly because all the other restaurants on the vicinity had a 3 hour wait and I was hungry! Little did I know how lucky I was! Come to find this is a newer establishment brought to us by a man trying to introduce some new genre of food. I had the fried catfish, black eyed peas, greens, and cornbread as well as a side of hush puppies. I liked it all! I mean, bear in mind, it's fried food so you're not going here if you want healthy choices. But if you want something different and delicious, it's the place to be. Don't be afraid to try the greens - they have amazing flavor. The things I'd change are sizes of cornbread - my hubby and I shared this meal and I didn't want to share the small square that came with it - and provide more tables and chairs. I hope people support this high quality and unique gem!
Stumbled upon this place new years day and was welcome with open arms by the owner Dubs...he gave us his recommendations and they didn't disappoint. Will be stopping whenever we're back into he area! Food was Bomb.Food: 5/5
