Over the past 6 years Dumbo Moving ® has grown into one of the top companies in the industry. We continue to grow every year on account of word of mouth and all the love and support we receive on Yelp, our Facebook page and all our other social media.

Dumbo Moving ® was founded to change up the moving industry. We charge a guaranteed price for every move instead of by the hour. Time is everything and that no one likes surprises and our customers highly prefer this arrangement.

We strive to be the most affordable and trustworthy moving company in New York City. Everyone knows how difficult it is to move here by yourself, and we do not believe that it should cost you a full month’s rent simply to hire movers.

I just used Dumbo for my move from MA to NY. Very reasonable prices. They made my move-in as stress free as possible. My overall experience with Dumbo was 5 stars! Excellent customer service and my moving crew was courteous and prompt. I highly recommend Dumbo for any and all of your moving and or storage needs.

Dumbo Storage & Moving very professional and courteous. I am extremely impressed by the professionalism and hard work of their team. I will definitely call them again in the future. The team were professional, efficient, polite and respectful to me, as well as to each other. I was charged after the work was done--very honest and good to do business with.I would definitely call them again. Very friendly, personal, professional. The entire experience was smooth and pleasant. They were reliable, straightforward and clear. They were professional and fast. Highly recommend them!

In a crazy, stressful period, these guys were amazing. It's a two way street. I was upfront with them about all the items I was moving, took pictures, and let them know as much as I could beforehand. I was only charged ONE price. The guys arrived early, and were super quick and handled our stuff with care. They were even short a guy, and still made for a super quick move without sacrificing any of my items. If you're on top of it, they will be too. I'll be using Dumbo Moving again wherever I go - no doubt, and will definitely recommend friends and family.

Really horrible experience. They moved my brother and I into a new apartment in NYC and stole all of our alcohol. Our wine fridge was stocked with $500+ of high end wines, not the mention the bottles of single malt scotch, etc. Upon arrival at our new apt, the wine fridge was empty and all of our liquor was gone. When I called to inquire, they didn’t get back to me for two days and then after arguing for a while, they offered me a $50 credit towards future moves. Really? Worst customer service! Why would I ever use them again and obviously I am not moving any time soon so the credit is kind of worthless. 

Let me also not forget to mention that they couldn’t put together multiple items in my apartment because they didn’t have the “right tools”. 

Do yourself a favor, call flat rate or ANYONE ELSE!

DO NOT hire these guys! I never write reviews, but this was such a horrible experience that I feel compelled to.

I moved from Portland, Oregon to NYC, and they ruined thousands of dollars worth of furniture from West Elm along with my road bike and clothing. The service rep handling my move was unavailable via phone and email on the day of my move, and the mover who picked up my stuff gave me only an hour's notice prior to showing up with the truck; when I say that, I mean that he literally didn't tell me the date of the move until 1 hour before.

I cannot tell you how upsetting it was to move cross country only to have my possessions ruined. I tried to file a claim, and after wasting even more of my time – sending photos, detailing damages, corresponding via email – they told me that I didn't purchase "additional insurance" and would only cover $0.60/lb for a total of 270 lbs. I was stunned, because at no point did their sales rep multiple tiers of insurance.

Frankly, this company is horrible. The guys running it do not care about their customers, and they in no way will do anything to help you when something goes wrong. Seriously, DO NOT hire these guys. This was an absolute nightmare.
