I had a root canal done here a couple of years ago. I was surprised the dentist offered to do the procedure, as any previous dentist passed me off to a specialist for my prior two root canals. However, the idea of just getting it over in the same visit was too tempting to pass on. I warned the dentist I had a special condition of having extra canals in my teeth and made sure he was unquestionably aware before the procedure. He did the procedure and I went home. When the anesthesia wore off, my jaw was in extreme pain. Despite never feeling pain with my prior two root canals, I decided to take some over the counter pain killers and sleep. The next day I left a message at the closed office to say something was wrong and explained my pain level. I got a call back saying they could give me some pain killers but that the issue was likely just some sensitivity. At that point I snapped. I said, “I’ll take the pills if you can’t see me until Monday but I will absolutely not let you work under the believe what I am feeling is normal. This was not my first root canal.” The office then sent to me a specialist in Farragut. The specialist was absolutely amazing and confirmed that this office missed not one but two whole canals, despite my warning regarding my own medical history. FYI: a botched root canal takes two surgeries and a month of steroids to fix. The specialist also put me on barbiturate pain killers. That incident was the most egregious medical error I’ve ever lived through, and I never even received an apology.

Had a very negative experience with Dupont Dental involving their billing/claims. I went in for a routine cleaning and checked beforehand that they accepted my dental insurance through United Concordia. After my insurance paid them for the cleaning and x-rays, they continually kept sending me bills for $200 saying that the x-rays had not been paid in full by the insurance company. Upon speaking with my insurer I learned that instead of Dupont Dental billing for a full mouth series of x-rays like most other dental practices, they split each x-ray into individual claims (bite-wing, panoramic, etc) and billed for each individually.

Dr. Seiden and his team are fantastic. Always very efficient (I've never even sat down in the waiting room chairs -- they are always ready for me), friendly, and great at what they do. The office plays great music -- none of that muzak junk here. The space is clean and bright, with big windows, which helps with zoning out during procedures. Dr. Seiden is seriously cool, and I highly recommend Dupont Dental.

These guys are great, and have been ever since I started going to Dupont Dental back in 2010.

The visit was great, the doctor remembers your name and details about you, although I think he takes notes, but who cares. Great experience, would reccomend. Once you become a customer, it is easy to make appointments online as well.
