There for an outdoor wedding. Not enough workers to help, it rained and they weren't prepared. I wound up being asked to hand out towels and wipe chairs. I was a guest.

We used the Earle Harrrison House for our wedding and had a wonderful experience! We would not have changed a thing. Kathy does a great job in making everything run smoothly and in setting up the most beautiful wedding we could have asked for. Particularly since we did have to plan the wedding from long distance, having someone tohat is as experienced as she is manage the details was a life saver. Worth every penny!

I just had my wedding here, and it was a perfect experience! Kathy is a lifesaver...one of the hardest working women I have ever met, and she pays excellent attention to detail. The venue is, of course, gorgeous, but the best part (for me) was knowing that I didn't have to stress about the details. Kathy has it all down to a science, so I felt like I literally just gave her my Pinterest board and opinions and was able to show up to a dream wedding. Every detail was perfect, the planning process was so easy, and I am so thankful that I was able to spend my wedding day (and the week leading up to it) just basking in the joy of the occasion, rather than coordinating with tons of vendors & making centerpieces. It's one of the more expensive wedding venues in the area, but worth every penny!

Please, take a moment to read my review, and what you may have to deal with on your wedding day from Mrs. Riggs. The Earle Harrison House is just breathtaking and beautiful. I'm was so pleased to have my wedding surrounded by beautiful gardens and the reception area was just as equally as beautiful. Although, Mrs. Riggs ruined my wedding. She was the most unpleasant, and annoyed about everything. I was utterly embarrassed with how rude she was and my guests even complained about her to me and my mother... When we first arrived to the Earle Harrison House, my bridesmaids and I asked where they wanted us to prep for the day and we had no interest from either Mrs. Riggs nor her husband. They simply pointed in a direction and said, "over there." As they walked off we went in the direction they pointed and picked out of the two rooms to get ready in, once we were settled, Mrs. Riggs comes and finds us and was angry that we had settled in the Grooms/Groomsmen room. They door said "Girls" on it!! We had no idea, and they certainly did not direct us correctly. She was in and out slamming doors remainder of the day while we got ready. Previously before the wedding Mrs. Riggs had told me she was going to open the house for tours after the wedding ceremony for the guests while we took our family photos, so my officiant made an announcement for the guests after the ceremony had ended and they all went to tour the house (which was open and had the sign out welcoming the guest to tour), Mr. Riggs went and yelled at my guests to leave and kicked them out and my guests were speechless! They stood outside waiting until the reception area was being prepped for the food and cocktails. The bride and groom head table hadn't been set up once we got into the reception area, she had the "Mrs, and Mr" signs hanging behind two chairs in the corner, so my husband and I sat in the corner for the night, because our guests had no idea where we were suppose to be once we got there, so we couldn't ask them to move tables! Another thing was Mrs. Riggs had asked previously to be the one to come cut the cake when the time was ready, and at scheduled time she wasn't there to cut the cake, so we did it ourselves. She then later shows up in flip flops and shorts, comes up to me (the bride) and says "Um, I was suppose to cut the cake.." I was shocked. I'm sorry, it's my wedding and my cake I paid for, so I went ahead with schedule so our older guests could get home at a decent time. Finally, on a trip to the ladies room, my mother decided to have a word with Mrs. Riggs. She explained her disappointment of her attitude and rudeness to not only us but our guests. My bridesmaid and I had gone to the room where we had gotten ready to take my petticoat off (it was getting very uncomfortable) Mrs. Riggs walks in, shuts the door behind her and locks it, looks at me and says, "Where does your mother get off telling me I've been nothing but rude to you, and your guests..." She goes on, and on about excuses why she was the way she was, and ended up saying, "I broke my toe today.." Like that was an excuse to be rude on my wedding day, and to sit there and confront me uncomfortably about it in a room was unprofessional!! So, I will say the Earle Harrison is beautiful and your wedding will be breathtaking... But that woman is horrible to deal with (And she's good at being nice in the beginning, I must say.) ... I did not expect this from her. And apparently I wasn't the first she has done this too, the security guard even came up to me randomly apologizing for her and told me she always ends up being this way on the big day! WOW. And I hope Mrs. Riggs sees this. Thank you Mrs. Riggs for your horrible attitude on my perfect day.
