Staff is incredibly friendly. Purchased an annual pass for 85$ - IMO it's reasonably priced because it will used on a regular basis. Perfect for rainy days, cold days, hot days, or days when you just need to get out of the house with the kids. Biscuits backyard is great for small children (Under 6) and for the older kids they have informative exhibits with a focus on teaching a little bit more about the South and its history.

The museum is great for children. However it needs some renovations upstairs. The young staff was wonderful. For a children's birthday party location you can't beat the price or the activities. $150 for about 2hrs, for a party of 30+, private puppet show, private play room, complimentary party favors, and party invitations, and personal party guide. Just bring your food, cake, dishes, drinks and any decorations you would like to put up.

We had our son's birthday party here this past year. The ladies who work there were very accommodating for the time they allowed us to setup and cleanup. We had plenty of time to enjoy the party and the museum.

I can't say enough nice things about the staff. They are always ready to turn on the talking tree for my son. They have weekly crafts. Biscuits backyard is great for small children on cold or rainy days.

This place looks great from outside. I do hope the museum will be revamped soon. Even my 6 year old found the computer interactive very annoying as it was repeating the same thing when it was not in active use. Several exhibits didn't work right or were broken.
