We stay here a couple of times a year in our Motor Home.  50 amp and water.  Sites are huge and we'll spaced apart, a few have shade.  Good views of the lake and nice walks.  Roads are bad and often it is not mowed.  Still we love coming and enjoy the quiet.  Walmart and good shopping a few miles away.

We love to go camping and Fishing! Lots of space camp spots have plenty of space. And they keep the grounds pretty clean and the grass and brush cut.

I've been to east fork park countless times over the past 25 years. I grew up in a family with a modest ski boat and a love for fishing and watersports. We weren't super rich but had enough for an old used boat. So we went to east fork 2-3 times/week each Summer, and still regularly visit the park. It's changed a lot over the years.
It used to be free. It used to be in good repair. The people used to be fine.
Not so anymore. Costs a few dollars just to get in. Gatekeepers often give you a hard time for no reason. Roads are in desperate need of repair. Areas of the park remain shut down for long periods of time due to disrepair. Extreme water level fluctuations for many years have made this park (and the entire lake) much less popular. Lately the only available boat ramp is out on an exposed peninsula. So trailering a boat is even more difficult. The other boat ramp was in a sheltered cove, but the water level has to be just right...and they have to repair the roads and reopen that ramp.

Lake was beautiful, weather was great.  Site needed to be mowed.  Couldnt sit out for all the bugs.  Had the park been mowed there probably wouldnt have been so many bugs.  Picnic table area needed to be cleared of cobwebs and bugs.  Would not stay at this particular park again.

In desperate need of mowing. Not much shade. Plenty of dead trees. Good views of the lake.
