This park is absolute garbage, drugs, alcohol, gangs and fighting. We found multiple used condoms on the ground, the beach was littered with beer bottles and trash, and there were lots of little bags all over the ground that one could easily assume at one time they were filled with drugs. I wouldn't recommend taking your family to this park and if you do it would be best to leave before it gets to late. My family and I RAN out of there around 6:00 and if now after our recent experience we wont be back! Go to this park at your own risk.

Very nice place to enjoy a little family time. Lots of room to enjoy a picnic and relax to the view of a beautiful lake while the kids run around and burn off energy at the playground or riding their bikes or even playing a little basketball. Lots to do here

For the st part, this is a decent park given that it's in a large city. It does tend to get crowded over the summer so if you plan on going, get there early to secure a good spot to throw down a blanket and set up shop. The people are usually friendly, there are times that I've encountered the less than reputable characters with lower than standard morals. Do pay attention to where you set up shop, there are lots of debris from lazy people that cannot clean up before they leave. The only downside is the trash tends to pile up, not from lack of services from the Parks Dept, just simply due to lazy people.

This is a real Gem! It has a little park for kids to play, a pavilion next to it and saw people swimming and people windsurfing. Lots of Parking. Trees down near the shore where you can bring chairs and a picnic. Porta potties throughout the park.

Very nice view and good spots to swim. Close to a boat rental dock. Only part that bothered me was the trash and people letting their dogs off the leashes.
