This company is a complete sham. They do not pay out and the people that work there hang up or transfer you until they hope you give up. STAY AWAY

I have since learned that this is not the company I was writing a review for. This company I have NO problems with. They are not part of Edison insurance company.

Southwest Auto Brokers of Cape Coral, has been insured by the Edison Insurance Group in Fort Myers, since 1997.  As a used car dealer we have to carry various types of insurance coverage to help protect our business as well as our clients. Jackie King of Edison’s commercial department has done a fabulous job for us in making sure that we have competitively priced insurance to protect our business.  By the way, Edison’s staff was invaluable to us after major damage to our home by Hurricane Charlie, although the insurance carrier was slow because of the number of claims, our house now looks fantastic.

I received a quote from Edison Insurance and purchased a policy from them pending an inspection of my home. I was told that several roof shingles needed to be replaced or the policy would be cancelled. Huh? No problem. I hired a local roofing company to make any repairs they deemed necessary. $700 later I am informed by Edison that unless I replace the ENTIRE roof, they are going to cancel my policy. It seems to me that they are in the business of CANCELLING insurance policies because any communication with them includes a threat of policy cancellation, even when you follow their instructions. The local roofing company stood by their services and issued me a letter stating that my roof would last at least three more years, but Edison Insurance cancelled my policy because I refused to throw away a $700 repair by replacing a roof after they originally said it only needed a repair. I'm probably better off. I'm sure the next letter would have stated that unless I have my entire house rebuilt my policy would be cancelled.

I don't like anything about this company!!! We took them on to insure our home we purchased in September. 2 1/2 months later they are dropping us for no good reason. They've given us 3 different excuses and each time we can prove they made the mistake and flat out lied. If our home was as bad as they claim when they went for inspection they never should have written the policy!!! Instead wait 2 months
then cancel us and make us look bad?
Ms Underwriter.... The reason for the clutter around the yard and home is because we were having work done a new a/c unit anew furnace brand new electrical wiring throughout the home brand new appliances etc etc etc.
We are reporting you to the BBB and will be expecting our money returned since you wrote the policy under false pretenses.
