Went to El Torito tonight. I'm not really one to write reviews but it's been a few years since I've been there and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience this evening. The food was good and came out fast but what really made my night was our server, Erik, he was so attentive. We never had to ask for refills, he was on top of it. He was super friendly and made lots of menu suggestions and was very accommodating when it came to all my modifications (I'm a very picky eater). I appreciated him taking the time to go over the ingredients with me. I'll be sure not to wait too long to return to El Torito and I hope that Erik is my server again!

The food was as good as it normally is but our service was amazing.  We had Haven and I have never had someone that was so attentive.  She checked on us regularly and kept everything filled and tip top.  I will specifically ask for her when I go back.  THANKS HAVEN!!

Can only give it 3 stars: this rating is based solely on the bar area and happy hour food. Our waitress was great, adorable: 5 stars. The habaneros sliders, also good: 4 stars. The atmosphere: 2 stars, because it's kinda depressing. Seems outdated and dingy. I drink wine and the only choices are chard and cab: unacceptable! Overall: 3

In visiting my old stomping grounds I searched for El Torito which was no longer in T.O. but went to the Simi.  My experience remains as wonderful as it was in the past.  The taste of the  food and it's presentation was wonderful.  The service was the best!  Ask for a waiter named Fabio and you will really enjoy your meal and time at the restaurant.

I was just appointed that the tostada is no longer available they call it a taco salad now but it was really good
