Q: What is an electric bike?
A: An electric bike, or E-bike, is a bicycle with an added battery and motor hub. These elements are to create electric assistance for the rider.
When riding an e-bike there are basically three modes of operation:
You can pedal just like a regular bike, use its electric motor to assist you, or let the motor do all of the work.
