I honestly couldn't be any happier with my experience here. I came in on a Thursday having no clue what to do looking bewildered at everything and spoke with an extremely knowledgeable and professional man I later got to know as Erik. I owned a Trek mountain bike for 13 years (got it when I was 13) that was extremely undersized for me (I'm 6'4" and 230 lbs). So I had no other bike knowledge about what I needed or wanted other how to patch one up when it breaks.

He was over the top kind, patient and answered my hundreds of questions. He sized me for a bike which is something I didn't even know you did and worked nearly an hour on helping me get the bike style that was right for me. I came back the next day after talking with him on the phone some more and tested the bike for a short mile bike ride and fell in love but felt like the seat was too thin / hard. When I purchased the bike he swapped the seat out FOR FREE and gave me a premium gel cushioned seat. Not only that but he spent a good 15 minutes checking everything from brakes, gears, down to what I learned was called the "true" of the wheels. 

This is honestly the greatest experience I've ever had buying something in my life. You could tell this was genuinely a passion for him and he took great pride in what he did which is rare to find anymore. I'll definitely recommend everyone I know interested in biking to Own Cyclery.

This will be my go-to bike shop from now on. I went in to have my floor pump looked at and Eric ended up replacing it with a newer model free of charge. He gave me tons of great information on areas to ride, upcoming races, and local road groups as I'm new to Chattanooga, and I ended up getting a great deal on my other purchases as well. Highly recommend for the product selection and helpful staff.
