My family has been coming to Empire Szechuan for over 20 years now and it has never failed to impress. The food is delicious and the staff is no-nonsense. We feel perfectly comfortable and like family when dining here. Food is clean and healthy, and the menu is VERY expansive. I would recommend Empire Szechuan for any type of dining with a relaxed ambience. Enjoy!:)

Ok, this used to be my favorite place to eat Asian food in the city. Then we decided to order a delivery from them (spoiler: bad idea). First, they took forever to come even though they are 2 blocks away from our apartment. Second, we had a hinge in our Pad Thai, no joke. There sushi was still great which was why I still loved the place. Then, after they renovated they turned into just Chinese food. I think they were trying for a more contemporary look, which didn't work out. The service got worse because less and less people started to come because they didn't have sushi anymore. This place I would give a 2 1/2 stars if I could. I have mixed feelings about Empire Szechuan Kyoto.

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE. I had a simple soup and rice order for delivery. The delivery man calls me to come down, he’s not there and I wait outside for a moment in case he’s on a bike... no show. Calls me a few minutes later not asking but telling me “you come downstairs now”. I did.  He wasn’t there. I reconfirmed my address. He had it correct he was not there. 

After 15 minutes I called restaurant and explained the delivery never came and I would like a refund. Upon hearing he word refund, They Hung Up. 

Horrible service. Horrible and scary dialogue with delivery man’s phone calls.

Great staff. Food well-prepared and delicious. Both Chinese and Japanese cuisines served. A little pricey, but worth it.

This restaurant is newly renovated. It still smells of new construction. When I first started to order food here, I had concerns about their professionalism, as they would not greet me when I would enter the restaurant and greet the staff.

They were closed, briefly and have now reopened and attitudes are commensurately brighter..

Bring friends, family and anyone looking for quality Chinese...
