I'm so disappointed that Enterprise chose to throw me away as a 13 year customer due to their poor customer service and inability to work creatively in a weird situation. I rented a car through my insurance due to damage, and when I picked up the rental car, it smelled faintly of cigarettes, which I attributed to the associate, Maria, who delivered the car. No big deal, should fade out if I had the windows open on the way to my office. We joked about turning the heat up and having the windows open (it's rainy today). I took the car, had a smooth drive to work and thought no more. As I left work later in the day, I noticed the car now REEKED of cigarettes, and I pulled over to get my phone out and call them to see if I could switch the car. As I grabbed the phone from the passenger side, I noticed a huge crack on the passenger upper windshield! My heart sank, but I called the location and the employee Daniel was helpful until the moment I told him about the crack, whereupon he immediately switched to a humiliating and aggressive diatribe about how "he's going to hold me directly responsible", and he "couldn't help me at all." It was impossible to get a word in edgewise, but I told him I would bring it in and could we figure something out? When I arrive, I am put to the screws by both employees, Daniel and a manager type (Jim?), who both indicated that because I didn't see the crack when I picked up the car, I must have done it on purpose. Daniel even went so far as to insinuate that I'm blind ("I can see it, he can see...not sure why you can't."), repeat that he's going to "Hold me responsible, no matter what!", and generally be unhelpful and rude He even wanted me to get in the car and show me how wrong I was. I'm 5'9, and he's 6'2 - I pointed out that perspective and sight are subjective, but it made no difference. When Maria finally returned, her helpfulness from the morning was gone, and no one offered any kind of solution or compromise. I was basically ignored for 45 minutes while I worked with my insurance company to resolve the situation. I was polite, I was honest, and I have no reason not to step up and take care of something if I was responsible for it. I believe there was a crack already that was invisible, and due to the heat inside the car and the cold outside, it manifested while the car sat in the lot. Did I do that? No. Did that matter when it came to the fine print - still no. No one cared if I have been renting cars there for years. No one wanted to help me or get me into another car on a cold rainy night. They only wanted to be right and they only wanted to blame me, instead of working with me to find a solution. The point isn't the money. The point is the attitude. I'm no one to them, and apparently, I never was. I'm so, so disappointed, and I will never be returning to this, or any ERAC ever again. Stay far, far away.Thanks for the lovely walk home.

Frequent business renter. Friendly staff who treat me well, but perhaps Enterprise corporate policies on vehicle maintenance require review. Most recent rental, RA#11Z21K had "legal" tires that were just barely above the wear bars, but were dangerous for the snowy long-distance drive. One wheel was out of balance, so 12 hours with constant vibration at >60 MPH. Mentioned both issues on check-in, so hopefully tires were replaced before renting again. Checked for other options before accepting the car, and the alternative car also had ~3/32" depth tires. Interior windows could use attention to cleaning; seem routinely smeared with an oily cloth. Vehicles often have >10 psi variation in tire air pressure, so I'm routinely having to adjust for safety and comfort.

Showed up on time for when I had scheduled a vehicle pickup and they sent me on my way within 15 minutes. Little to no wait times (in my experience) and helpful staff.

Not too great staff, but yes you can get your rented car.. I've got a car that's a way pretty old.
