The Woodbury, Evergreen Avenue, location is where I usually rent. I have found their staff to always be super respectful and accommodating, even when I've had to rent last-minute. I also appreciate that this location doesn't try to trick you into their insurance or shove it down your throat like two of their other locations. I, thus far, have not had an issue with them masking cigarette odor and then having it come back with a vengeance two days into the trip like I've had happen three times at Deptford Avis. I would give them 5 stars if they had a key drop box for after hours and an unlocked lot so you could return in the evening or on a Sunday without being charged an extra day.

What a terrible experience this was. I rented a car for 1 month while mine was getting some work done. The body shop suggested Enterprise so I went with them. They picked me up, rented me a car, no problem. However, returning the car was a whole different story! When I rented the car, the employee helping me, informed me that they have discounted rates when the rental is put through the insurance company, I thought that was great news. I asked her for one of the inexpensive cars and she told me the one I chose would be $28/day. My insurance covered $20/day, so I figured $8/day out-of-pocket wasn't too bad. When I went to return the car, I was expecting to pay about $250 for my share of the cost, but was informed that my share would be $850!!! Apparently, the car was $48/day and my share of the cost was $28/day! I felt completely bamboozled!!! Then as if that wasn't bad enough, she called me outside to review the car and pointed out a couple dents on the hood of the car and told me that I was responsible for them. When we did the original once-over, before I took the car, it was just after a snow/ice storm. So I'm convinced either one of two things happened...either there was a little ice on the car covering up the dents and combined with it being very cold that morning and me needing to get to work, the dents were simply overlooked, or, if I'm being cynical, the dents were purposely overlooked, hoping I wouldn't point them out, so when I returned the car they could put the blame on me. Either way, I'm stuck with an extra bill to fix a couple minor dents that I didn't have anything to do with!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!

2 stars because this was a difficult rental, saved by 1 employee who was excellent: Gina G. I booked a van and used American Express Enterprise certificates to pay a portion of the cost. At the national level, Enterprise told me I could not use the Enterprise certificates at this Enterprise location. I challenged this and they walked it back. They telephoned employee Eddie at this branch and told him how to apply the cert's to my transaction. On the day I arrived, Eddie did not know how to accept or apply the certificates without going into a long "on hold" experience calling 1-800-Enterprise. Gina made some calls and solved it. Most troublesome however was that I booked a standard cargo van, like a Chevy Express or Fold Econoline, and when I went to pick it up they only had a tall box truck -- like a big freaking UPS-sized truck, that by the way, was filled with litter. Employee Eddie shrugged this off and did not care in the least about the huge mismatch in my need and their result. Gina went outside in the sweltering heat and humidity to clean the truck herself. Gina then telephoned two other E locations to see if a van my size was available anywhere in the county (there was not). This location has a tiny lot and very few vehicles, fewer than 15 I would say, but they happened to have a Grand Caravan, and Gina upgraded me to this van an no extra cost. Gina was patient and extremely helpful, and saved me from accepting a vehicle that would have been a terrible substitution for my trip. This branch needs to learn how to accept Enterprise certificates. I was at the branch for close to 90 minutes when picking up my vehicle. I will rent from E again but will avoid this branch. Locally, E should consider promoting Gina G to district manager or the equivalent.
