Renowned for antique and vintage engagement rings from the 1880s to the 1940s. In 2015, Erstwhile launched a collection of engagement rings made with estate diamonds and reclaimed metals, called by Erstwhile.

I found the ring for my wife here. Jared was very helpful, I wanted a diamond ring that didn’t look like an engagement ring but more of a cocktail ring. They had a nice selection and it was actually hard to choose. He helped guide me to the perfect ring and she loves it! She even sent Jared a thank you note!

I worked with Erstwhile entirely online. I knew the style that my girlfriend had wanted and we saw examples on Erstwhile's website. I communicated almost entirely with Nikki through the whole process. My questions were responded to promptly, and when I had additional requests for picture, Nikki had put the ring on and sent me additional photos. Once I decided to buy and size, the ring was shipped securely and promptly by air. The packaging included multiple boxes, paper work, and a hand written letter. I felt great about the entire online purchasing experience with Erstwhile. I will say that we had a tiny stone pop out right after it was worn, but Erstwhile took care of that and provided return shipping immediately. They stand behind what they sell and will be quick to fix any little issues that may arise. I would absolutely recommend them and think their website and service are excellent for buying unique items.

I can't say enough good things about Nikki and her team at Erstwhile! I worked with Nikki on my fiance's engagement ring. She is everything that you'd want from someone involved in such an important part of your life: responsive, transparent, fair, flexible, on time, and very, very trustworthy. I was initially a little hesitant to work with Erstwhile since I was in Boston and she was in New York -- but I went for it because their stuff looked great. Nikki immediately instilled trust in me and made the whole process painless (perhaps even easier than working with a local jeweler). The shipping and whatnot was super easy.

I had a great experience - the staff at Erstwhile was very helpful and communicative throughout the process. It was somewhat daunting to make the purchase online without having seen the ring in person, but the ring was perfect on arrival. My fiancee loved it.

My wife and I had the most remarkable experience purchasing an engagement ring and wedding bands from Jared and Alisa of Erstwhile. We purchased a beautiful Raymond Yard engagement ring and Erstwhile original bands. The buying experience was as good as can be. Their office is gorgeous and we had the personal service one would desire in such a large and important purchase. Alisa held our hand through the process and Jared was a true gentleman with a vast amount of knowledge. They are not pushy at all and have quality stuff. Highly recommended!!
