The food is delicious, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were super straight. If I had to point out my gripes, parking in the area is very bad, tho it is a block over from bourbon, and it was Halloween weekend, after a Saints home game win honestly, that's just on us as tourists. And if you don't look for the restaurant, you would walk right past it, doesn't really have a "on the street presence", if that makes sense. But besides that, I highly recommend it. The NY strip and grilled shrimp was divine, compliments to the chef. Highly recommend stopping by and getting a Surf and Turf.
I got the boudin eggs Benedict and OMG. SO GOOD! It came with grits that were also delicious! My boyfriend got an omelette he liked too! We stumbled upon this place and were so glad we did!
The SAUTÉED Redfish Lafitte was not up to expectations, the fish was not sautéed, it was fried, oily, and not very flavorful. The Redfish Emir had no discernable crayfish to speak of on the sauce. The meal left us still looking for the tast of NOLA we were craving. Features: Face masks were not worn nor were they required from either staff or guests.
Steak was delish, but had to send back to be cooked properly but was tender.Baked potato not done all the way and was cold in the middle.I believe it was cooked previously and sat out or refrigerated then warmed up briefly..The waitress had a very ahh whatever attitude when we told her about the potatoes.When they came back out within 2 minutes..not new hot potatoes..same ones with all the topping melted like sour cream..gross..Seemed the microwaved it.The extra you pay for the wine mushroom sauce although tasted good had LITERALLY two thin slided mushrooms..I wouldnt call that mushroom sauce.Ironically something I asked about before ordering and got the response its mushroom sauce so yeah it would have mushrooms..haha what a joke..I asked for more mushroom sauce with my steak being cooked correctly and the potato issues..It came back same amount of sauce and same two slice mushrooms..Also be aware all menus are different priced..you may even think your not in the same restaurant as pictured online..Its a bar that serves over priced food..$40 each but bar type service
This is our last night in NO, we wanted to try a different option for dinner, my husband was wanting a good steak dinner… he ordered a BLACKENED steak, medium well, with asparagus and WHIPPED potatoes…. He got a steak that was well done, NOT blackened, tasted like there was no seasoning , a baked potato and very blanned, unseasoned asparagus. The waitress was nice and brought us his mashed potatoes which were very lumpy- on the menu they are described as ‘whipped’ I ended up eating the baked potato which was cold on the inside . I had a side spinach which was described as ‘sautéed’ on the menu.. actually looked steamed, had NO flavor…. We have had such good food experiences our last four days here in NO…. Except tonight , very disappointed with the whole meal, dinner definitely was not worth the $110.00 bill .
Food was delicious . Service was good. We ordered the sampler with a side of fries and we're completely satisfied.
The service was amazing. Our server was great and always attentive and making sure we were ok. It was a Monday afternoon and it wasn’t crowded at all. I’m sure On weekends is a different story but it definitely worth any wait. We had a Whole lobster and the NY steak and it was delicious. Definitely will visit again on my next visit to NOLA.
Nice ambiance. Although the steak tasted good, it was loaded with gristle. The lobster was rubbery. The server never once checked to ask how the food was nor did she ever offer a refill on our drinks. Totally not worth the money we spent.
Waitress never came back. Had to go to the bar and get our own drinks. Drink glasses were plastic small ones, while I observed everyone else had tall glass ones!! Food was pretty good. My sisters steak wasn't cooked right. And they forgot to bring me my lobster!!!Food: 4/5
OH MY GOODNESS! The food here was SOOOOOOO DELICIOUS! I had the Filet Mignon stuffed with seafood - so tender and tasty. Hubby had fried catfish and honestly, it was beyond compare. Also, we had the seafood gumbo which was fresh and fantastic! Very flavorful. We’re surprised that this place doesn’t have 5 stars!!! Cool atmosphere and Alecia our server was wonderful too!
