I was trying to escape NOLA kitsch and loudness and while walking around my eye caught a beautifully designed shop ftont. I had no reservation, I was seated immediately for brunch on a busy Sun. Was served immediately and the food was great. Place offers burlesque but thankfully I didn't have to endure that while here... while anyone would actually want that during the day is a mystery to me...
Delightful fish dinner in a carefully curated dining space. Really enjoyed the gulf fish louisiane and a Japanese whisky cocktail while enjoying a conversation with fellow green schools conference attendees.
More than exceeded our expectations- this is not your average hotel bar / restaurant. We sat at the bar and did the 4-course tasting menu. We were NOT disappointed. The beignets desert were possibly the best we had this trip and yes we hit all the usual spots! Shout out to Brett - he makes a mean cocktail and may be the most gregarious bartender in all of the Quarter. Thanks for making our stay there so great.
The food was great and the service was awesome but the burlesque show really lacked. The entertainer was very friendly but the show could have had more than one entertainer for the whole restaurant. Since there was only one entertainer it was a two minute show in each section. The experience was very pricey for what it was. I do want to note that we were a part of the brunch that had the glass knocked over. The entertainer was walking by but it was not her fault. The lady sitting at the table actually knocked over her own glass by mistake and we have it on video. The entertainer took full responsibility and apologized multiple times.
We were looking for a place to eat and looked for something interesting on Open Table. 3rd Block sounded good. We booked a 7 pm reservation. There were only 3 or 4 other tables when we entered. The hostess was nice and so was our server but a few minutes after we sat down there was a small black hard shelled bug on our table which my husband shooed away. We had our appetizer and served our dinner shortly after. My shrimp was good but my husband’s fish was only okay and while we were finishing up we noticed a similar bug crawling on our half eaten charcuterie cheese. We called attention to the bug to the server and she deflected and asked what we would be doing later that night. So for 2 drinks, an appetizer, a fish dinner, a shrimp appetizer as a dinner and bugs we googled them think it was a black rice bugs we paid $140 plus tip. Pretty sure we won’t be back.
The food is fantastic and the chef makes the most perfect gumbo. We ate here quite a bit. Don’t miss Leggs and Eggs brunch.
This place caught our eye and we were very happy with it. Attached to the W so a chic modern feel along with a small but excellent menu.
I was originally going to give this place two stars but decided to give it three in case of the off chance they were having a bad day especially since it was a week after Mardi Gras. The Brussels sprouts were pretty good, as the combo of the sauce and cheese really was delicious. My partner’s medium rare burger was undercooked, but the fries were well seasoned. However my oyster risotto was quite disappointing. The drinks were my favorite thing. Service was okay, when we arrived we were the only ones there and the server forgot to give us forks and knives and napkins where I literally had to stand up and ask the hostess to grab them myself after about 5 minutes that our entree arrived. I did see that as people started arriving their service seemed like the one we would’ve like to receive. Again could be just a bad day for everyone but it was generally inattentive and disappointing. Would not tell anyone to not go, but I personally will not be returning.
Awesome dinner! We did a business dinner split and loved it. We are going to go back for beignets @ breakfast!
Disaster. Had a reservation for the $90/person Reveillon dinner. We were seated on time, but the first course of our 4 course prixe-fixe dinner had not appeared after 80 minutes. No bread. Nothing. We were told twice by our waiter our food was up “next,” only to have a table seated 20 minutes after us get their appetizers. The manager decided to cut her losses by offering to pay for our drinks if we would leave. All in all the most terrible dining experience on 4 continents in 20+ years. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
