amazing. Walking distance from Bourbon street. The food was great. Drinks were great. Staff was nice. The only Drawback is the waitress didn’t say that gratuity was already added so I tipped twice. Other than that it was great. I ordered seafood egg rolls. They are amazing. Wheelchair accessibility: There weren’t any steps so you can definitely just roll up.
The food had good flavor. Portion sizes I felt were on the smaller size. Service was overall good, though slow to get items asked for. Utensils were plastic. The thing that really got me and significantly lowered the review was their billing. We had a table of 4. We had requested separate checks at the start. When it came time to paying the waitress came over to each of us with the square machine. In a way it's my own fault as when she confirmed our order I didn't look it over carefully as she had already brought it to the screen to put in a tip. They automatically charge a 18% service fee. So then she ends up with the 18% service fee in addition to the top. The printed receipts just show the service fee but the total doesn't match the actual amount charged as tip is not yet added, however the emailed receipts do show tip as well as service fee. Therefore, I lowered my review rating mostly due to their shady service fee.
This was a SWANK spot - top of the line and fine as whine! The waitresses were very attentive and ready to answer all questions. Please request the fish and pasta, as well as the shrimp and fries. This dining establishment is worth every cent.Food: 5/5
Food was excellent. I had the lamb chops and catfish. Both were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The only down side for me was plastic ware and the music was too loud. Other than that the atmosphere and decor was great. Service was on par and drinks were made correctly.
DONT GO HERE - took 20 min JUST TO GET DRINKS, $14 in 6oz plastic cups - The second we sat down the servers were fighting over the table. Place was empty. Told once we sat down that they are out of main entree. Forgot 1 of the drinks after 30 mins. Decided not to get food. Menu impossible to read, black colored menu in the dark, couldn’t read it? Lol. Sever recommended a drink, mentioned she already had 2 on shift….. Idk
This was by far not the experience that I expected based on the other reviews that are on the website! This was a beautiful venue but the staff left much to be desired. There were too many people standing around, we had to wait for a long time to get our food and what made matter worst was the fact that our food grits was cold ! The owner/manager should eliminate unproductive and disengaged employees from the team. Let me be clear, the staff was friendly but did not understand the "assignment"when comes to customer service and providing a good experience for their patron. I am free advertisement; good or bad!
Unfortunately, the experience was lackluster. Great venue, music and bar; however, the food was a little to be desired. Ordered cat fish and grits, the grits was cold and lumpy; however, the Cat-fish was hot and tasty. Aside from the hostess eating at the hostess station and other clueless looking workers, our waitress made it work as best she could. Heading back to NYC, not sure about spreading the word! It’s not the black-owned experience I was hoping for in NOLA. Major operational inefficiencies !
This place was a pretty big disappointment. It felt like this was a club that also had food and drinks, not a restaurant as its primary service. The food was fine just not spectacular, but portions don't really justify the price. When you ask for water you get a Kirkland signature bottled water and then they charge you $4 for it which is ridiculous. 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill but when you pay it's done via an electronic pad and you don't see the itemized list of charges. The server just handed it to me at the tip screen and if I hadn't paid attention to the menu where it said it then I would have had no clue it was already added. These little things overall made it a very poor experience.
Everything food, drinks, and service were great! Really enjoyed it. Would definitely go back! Forgot to take pictures before diving in.
I didn’t get to experience it. It allowed us to make a reservation and after finding parking and a short walk they were closed. This is something that needs to be addressed. We even tried to call said something about the google subscriber… doesn’t even have a real number. SMH great way to waste time. It was a birthday dinner not only can we not get tonight back we also can’t find another restaurant at this time.
