They receptionist and Dr.Carlson were awesome. They were helpful and friendly. They even come to Florence so I don't have to drive to Eugene. I would recommend them to anyone with foot problems. They helped me!

Dr. McCourt has been the best! I am 29 and have a very complicated medical background. As one of my medical issues, I have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos (Type 3), a lack of collagen, meaning all of my joints/tissues are loosey-goosey. I have dislocated and twisted my ankle (knee, wrists and shoulders, etc.) since age 7. My parents took me (from age 7-18) to every doctor they could (including an 11-day inpatient stay at Children’s Hospital LA). Every previous doctor has said “well, that’s how your weird body is”, handed me another brace, and then walked off. I have worn bilateral ankle braces and dealt with subluxations/dislocations and pain for years. Late 2016: I injured right my foot when my ankle went one way and the foot went the other way. Clinic doctor tapped my injured foot with a medical tuning fork and says “yep, it’s broke... wear this boot for 6 weeks and I’ll see you back then”. Early 2017: I go to his office for a second opinion on a fracture/bone contusion on my right foot. He takes X-rays, treats the injury (including multiple follow ups and continued support over the course of a couple months) and also asks about ongoing foot and ankle issues. He then tells me “after you are healed, we will talk about your ankles”. Fast forward to Mid 2017: Dr. McCourt told me about the procedure that helps to stabilize the ankle, using a medical device, vs. cadaver parts, as my body wouldn’t know what to do with cadaver tendons/collagen. This device can last around 10 years... that sounded glorious: 10 years without ankle braces on both ankles every minute of every day. We set a date for a surgery to implant the internal brace in my right ankle. Prior to surgery, he even checked in with my rheumatologist about medications and process needed to prevent blood clotting (another fun medical issue). June 17, 2017: I check in first thing in the morning for my surgery and get prepped. Dr. McCourt comes in before surgery and meets with me and my Mom and Grandma (my designated drivers). Grandma says “how long will this last?” Dr. McCourt says “maybe one day”, laughs, then seriously/thoroughly explains the procedure/benefits and we get moving. Throughout June-November 2017: he answers my many text messages, wrote my doctors notes for work, brought me in for countless follow ups, took x-rays, helped regulate pain medication, supported me through weeks of casting, helped me step down into a cam boot, sent me to an awesome physical therapist who helped me get out of the boot by the beginning of November, and followed up at each appointment checking in on how everything was going. Early December 2017: my last right ankle followup. Everything is moving much better (limited {for me/more “normal” from what I hear} but functional movement). I’m in 2 shoes! I can walk without pain and stand on tiptoe without my ankle dislocating. I am cleared! We schedule my left ankle surgery. Dec 18, 2017: left ankle surgery completed... and the amazing support process starts again... At 29 (and soon to be 30), I’m learning to walk with my new “normal” ankles, that still move, but no longer need daily braces. He and his staff are kind, patient and supportive. They really go above and beyond to answer questions and make you feel heard. I’d recommend Dr. McCourt to anyone struggling with foot and ankle pain, especially those with complex medical needs.

I broke my ankle while on vacation here in Oregon. It was a pretty bad break but Dr. McCourt fixed me up ....he is a very gentle and caring . I never felt rushed and he always took time to answer any and all my questions. I would recommend him to anyone with foot problems. He made a bad situation (vacation) a not so bad..I also comend the staff...all was first class....

Great experience! I had issues with ingrown toe nails in my younger years and the experience was extremely painful. Recently I decided to have a Dr take another look. After discussing my opinions, we decided to remove the nail altogether. The experience was WAY better than I had in the past and was very pleased over all. Great job!!

I hate doctors. i hate going to them. i distrust them. that said mccourt and his assistance are just fine. didn't make me sit and wait for 30, 45, or 60 minutes. explained things as he went. has a sense of humor. gave me things to do to support healthy feet and some good yet inexpensive orthodox that hopefully do the job. they're working fine so far.
