The entire staff here is friendly. The office is set up nicely except it is FRIGID in there. That is not why I am giving two stars though. It is common knowledge that when you have insurance and doctors office is IN NETWORK they have access to your coverages. Traditionally I have never had to pay anything up front at any doctors office unless I didn't have insurance, and anything my insurance didn't cover would be billed to me. For starters, I am a new patient so I called to make an appointment for an exam, cleaning, and xrays... typical dentist visit. I got an exam and X-rays done and I already knew I would have a cavity or two. I was told they didn't have time for my cleaning so I would have to come back. But they had time to do my fillings? They did have a slot open for later in the day but I was not told cleaning would not be done in my visit. I was told after the fact since I was new that they "wouldn't know what type of cleaning I would need". Whatever that means. So I get my treatment plan and my total bill would be... $800.. my insurance was being ESTIMATED to cover $500.. so I would be left with $300 due UP FRONT. I'm sorry but if you have access to my plan or member number you wouldn't charge people that amount up front. Little to my knowledge, this office does not do the silver fillings, only white. How convenient since my insurance only covers white fillings on FRONT teeth. But I didn't find anything out from the office until after the fact and I got straight answers from my insurance company. Everything I need is covered 100%. Bottom line is - know what your insurance covers and know what the office offers. Otherwise you'll be stuff with a big IOU to the dentist office. Side note- Avenue G office offers silver fillings so I will not be going to the Ames office for my cleaning not my fillings.

Dr. Setti was great. He made me feel extremely comfortable for my first visit. Claire's energy was very inviting and I will be returning and i definitely recommend to anyone searching for superior service....almost forgot about Mai she was great as well.

They are amazing! I haven't been to the dentist in a while so I was afraid about how they would respond, but they made me feel really welcomed. The entire staff was friendly (which is hard to find these days)

This was my first visit and it was very awesome.. The people are very nice The office is clean and welcoming and they get you seen very quickly.. I'm looking forward to my next visit..
