Let me begin here, about 4 weeks ago I made an appointment at this location to get my teeth looked at because my wisdom teeth were giving me problems and my throat and gums were swollen. They did x rays and the doctor and his assistant scheduled me on that day for an appointment on April 12th to get them surgically removed by what they call a "Doctor" Dr. Wu. Because the doctor scheduled that day stated that he was not comfortable pulling them because of how they were positioned (understandable). Today April 10th at 11am they called me to say that they had to cancel my appointment because Dr. Wu had an emergency which is completely understandable. So naturally I got highly pissed because I made this appointment 4 weeks ago because that was apparently the only time the doctor would be in this month. When I complained to the lady that answered the phone she had the manager call me who then stated that the doctor had to cancel my appointment because his manager accidently double booked him. My point here is that none of this was professional at all. I feel like I was lied to with the fact I was told 2 different excuses. I get things happen out of our control but as a dentist office you should find another doctor to do the job instead of canceling an appointment, when your patient has been waiting patiently to get this procedure done and has been in pain for 4 weeks. Let me add this, I decided to go somewhere else and had a better DOCTOR/DENTIST look at my teeth and he recommend that I get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled because they are worse then they should be. You would think that as a "dentist office" they would have seen the exact problems this other dentist saw but yet they never mentioned the things he did and how urgent it was to get all of them pulled. Louisiana Dental said that I didn't need to get the top pulled for a while because they were fine. When I spoke with the manager at Louisiana Dental I explained the scenario of how long I've been waiting for this and how much pain I was in and the excuse I got was that she couldn't help me but that I should just take some ibuprofen and do warm salt water and I would be alright for another week until they can get me in. I feel that this place is completely unprofessional. I would not ever recommended a business that runs this way to a friend , family, or even just a by standard.

I called this office at 3:30 this afternoon asking if they would take an emergency walk in. The receptionist was very rude and careless. I told her I had a friend with extreme tooth pain and it has been hurting him for a days now, her response to me was “sorry, we are about to close.” But they didn’t close until 5. I recommended them initially because I go to LDC in New Orleans, but I would not recommend them for service at this Metairie location, based off of their careless service.

I have been going here for about 2 years and always enjoy my experience. They are kind, gentle, and informative. My dental hygienist, Gabrielle Campo is the best I’ve ever been to. The X-rays were not uncomfortable, didn’t make me tear up, she was gentle with my cleaning, didn’t get gunk all over my face, I left without product all in my teeth and mouth, she was kind, personable, and finally, she was very intelligent and informative of my care. I will continue to go here and recommend to everyone I know.

The 1st time I went I saw Dr. Ust she was fantastic. I was given and estimate which was fine when I want to check out they took my money but I didn't even receive a receipt. (Usually any procedure you have, usually you get a receipt.) I was told to come back in a month for a follow up.  I called the office to see who I needed to speak to in billing the lady told me that the person I needed to speak to was at lunch. 3 hours later I called back and spoke to Marcie and she told me that anybody can do billing. At this point I was a little annoyed with the other girl.  The next day Marcie called me back to let me know how much it would be with my insurance. (Marcie went above and beyond someone who actually cares) It was covered 100%. When I went in last week I didn't even get to see the doctor.  The hygenist told me that it was just for the for the second half of my cleaning that I wasn't going to see the doctor.  When I went to check out the hygenist put the invoice in front of the lady and she told me to have a seat until the lady gets off the phone. When the lady got off the phone I thought she was gonna call my name to get me checked out but no I sat there for a good 10 minutes watched her play on her phone.  When I went up there to ask her if she can check me out she gave me attitude because she said she didn't have the paper when it was clearly in front of her on the rack.  She was going to charge me for this follow up, I told her I was told that it is covered a 100% she obviously didn't like what I had to say and her attitude  was even worse when I asked her her name I told her to have a nice day.  The expression is kill them with kindness so I did. If it wasn't for doctor Ust and Marcie, I would never go back.

It was my first visit and it was quite awesome! The facility was very clean and the staff was very warm, compassionate and understanding!  Whenever someone tended to me, they were very thorough with what they had to do and I experienced no pain! They also had state of the art equipment! I am proud to call them my new dental home!
