This place is amazingly beautiful! I wandered around for hours in awe of the natural beauty. The free tram tour was interesting and allowed me to see the upper part of the gardens without having to get terribly sunburned. They have a wide variety of tropical plants, a butterfly garden, an orchid trail (when I went), and a fruit garden. I will go back here every time I am in Miami! We also saw lots of iguanas!

A wonderful place to visit, always something new to see and learn. Even if you have taken the tram tour, if someone else is doing it, they show you different things and give you different bits of information. I always go to the plant sales and festivals. They are a lot of fun and you meet a lot of friendly people. Beautiful gardens, amazing butterfly center, but also they feature things like the pine rock land garden which shows you what Miami would have looked like in the past, and what native plants lived here, it's not the prettiest but it's very important and I'm glad they have it. The Rainforest and desert gardens are also impressive. The early morning bird walks are fun too.

Very nice place to spend the afternoon. Cafe was closed but they had good Greek food set up outside. Butterfly exhibit was also really interesting. The volunteers that work the gardens were a wealth of knowledge about the plants and history of the gardens.

One of my favorite places in Miami. Come here often to walk, bird watch, and explore the gardens. They often have festivals and a plant sale twice a year with many unique plants. I recently took a botanical Illustration class here taught by Donna Torres. It was a lot of fun and I feel like my watercolor skills improved so much. A must visit place for locals as well as tourist!

This is a must-see for us whenever we have time during a Miami area visit. The gardens are very well kept. The tour is informative and there are always plants in bloom. Giant tropical trees, well marked and well placed are delight. The new orchid area with orchids in natural settings is very well done.
