You can not prepay unless you have received your 2018 assessment already. Most have not, and in FFX county we have not. Therefore you can't prepay from what I read. Don't waste your time on this unless you received your 2018 assessment already.

I called well before the posted closing time of 4:30 PM, and despite waiting on hold for a while, I was told via a voice recording the offices were now closed for the day. What's more, I emailed them using their own website's online forms, yet seven business days later I have yet to receive a response. That's the government for you. Lazy, backward, and incredibly inefficient.

FFX County Dept. of Tax Administration is deplorable. I would give negative stars if I could. I cannot believe that the county - 3rd richest in the nation - staffs its' own tax department with knuckle-dragging morons. Top to bottom. It is mind-blowing how incompetent they are, and how hard it is to get in touch with the right person. REAL PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING BECAUSE OF YOUR INCOMPETENCE! I know someone who DIDN'T EVEN LIVE IN FFX COUNTY and the county took almost $1K from their bank account with no notice overnight. How is that not criminal? And they won't give you your money back without forcing you to jump through hoops, and all without a single apology. OH, and it's a 2-3 week wait for your check. What if you couldn't feed your kids because of the $$$ they took? Do you go get a high-interest payday loan? This is the reality forced upon many who mistakenly think FFX County will somehow do the right thing. Terry McAuliffe, if you are somehow reading this, please take note. Services like this are supposed to HELP people, not create a near $1k hole in their bank account for no reason. It is just unacceptable and frankly inhumane, but it will keep happening to good people. We wonder why nobody has faith in Government anymore, why Congress and the President have an aggregate 40% approval rating, and then we look at situations like this. THIS is why.
