My friend and I came in last week to purchase shopping carts. We tried assembling them in the store only because we were both homeless and we needed the carts to push our stuff around. We both had heavy bags so we wanted the carts to alleviate the pain we were in from lugging our stuff around. The workers just asked us to move in the aisle but the manager at first said "can't you do that at home?" My friend said no because we're homeless. The manager kept coming around giving us looks and saying stuff and my friend started panicking because she thought the manager was going to call the cops. I told her no they're not lets just finish so we can get out of here. She was also frantic because she had a meeting with pha about her voucher and she didn't want to miss her appointment which also led to us not assembling the carts correctly nor quickly. One of the workers (I think his name was Kareem) came over and helped us. My friend was crying because the carts was taking forever to assemble and she was late for her appointment so I told her you go on we'll fix it. She's from Ohio so she didn't want to go without me but i told her it's right up the street where we came from and I'll be there as soon as we finish. Kareem helped me with both carts and said encouraging words during. We got stuck on one part and the manager from earlier came over and fixed it. I appreciate the workers and the manager that helped us.

It is normally boxes all over the store,kinda junky..sometime boxes of snacks,may been missing items,so if u see tape on a box,let cashier know so they can open it up for you.. Not very friendly or good cashiers,so make sure u check your receipt,I once only brought a 1litter soda,an got charged $5 for a $1.50 soda,so be careful.. Not very fast service because the cashiers are a little slow,but also,sum customers Dont be ready or know what they are doing,so be ready to wait,if its a line..

One if the biggest family dollar I've been to too date. Clean organized large staff the place was like a well oiled machine. I got what I wanted and had no problems here.

Prices may be a bit under average. But when it's crowded? It's Crowded! I once waited almost 30-mins. on line. But it's not always crowded....
