I visit a lot of state parks. Farragut State Park is the first one I visited in Idaho. It was fantastic. Spent the night in my car in a public ranger station lot. Got there too way late to get a campsite grow through and most of them looked occupied. In the morning I went down to this overlook to boil some water and make coffee and have breakfast. Other local camper started walking and jogging by around 7 a.m. . Use caution if you're up at this time there is lots of Wildlife hanging around the roads. An excellent Park I will reserve a campsite next time. Great spot to take the kids to the lake lots of open areas. And the Beaver swimming area is completely awesome what a great spot!

Perfect little spot to come swim in the lake. There's a little lagoon just off the lake so swimmers aren't disturbing the boaters and kids can safely splash around while the shady shoreline provides enough space for non-swimmers to park and snack. Did I mention public bathrooms as well? Great spot for the cost of visiting the national park. There's also hookups in the area for camping, trailers, etc. I think full hookups even... Check though before making plans.

Great park with diverse activities and lots of space. Nice campsites and friendly hosts. Shower house was nice and included in camping fee. Nice large boat launch. Wish we had known they had four frisbee golf courses. Can't wait to go back!

This is the second year that I have camped at Farragut, the park is splendid. All of the camp host that I have encountered are very pleasant. I will continue to camp there for many years to come. I gave only 4 stars as I think that the park should have more trash bins stationed throughout the park for the guest convenience, instead of one at the overflow parking area in "Whitetail" for example. Other Idaho State parks that I have stayed at are able to make this possible. One other thing that I think would be nice is at least hand sanitizer in the restrooms if they are not gong to supply even powdered soap by the sinks.

Great place to camp with the family. The shady campground in the trees was about 15 degrees cooler than out on the road when the temperatures were in the nineties. We enjoyed the swimming area and disc golf. On other visits we went to the military museum and bicycled all around the park.
