During the winter you can only go into the visitor center parking lot and one other parking lot less than 1/4 miles down the road. The trails were all groomed for skiing or snowshoeing. No walking on them or you could get a fine. We were able to enjoy the visitor center and walk around that area only. Beautiful view of the frozen lake.

Love the trails for skate / Nordic skiing. Super user friendly, easy parking, beautiful trails and low $$ fees. Love it here!! Couples Nordic season pass is only $50. Now, that's a steal.

We visited and unfortunately only had a little time to explore, mostly just used the park for a campsite to spend one night. The campsites are basic with hookups if you choose those loops, paved, nice and flat. They are average in privacy. The park itself is very spread apart and to pay for your campsite you need to drive or ride a bike or something way back out to the entrance, which is a little inconvenient. There are very tame deer all over, they were driving our dog nuts! The park offers miles of trails for hiking or biking and waterfront too. I really wish we could have stayed longer. On our list for a future visit for sure!

Great place to take the family for camping, hiking, riding bikes, or walking there trail systems throughout the Park. They also have a great snow shoeing, and cross country skiing trails in the winter.
