Stopped by before a movie and have been wanting to try the Ox tail grilled cheese.  The last time we came they were out so you know it's good.  Sat at their seating area which overlooked the kitchen.  They have several things that look good including the chicken.  The chef was just taking them out of the oven and preparing them and they looked tasty.  Took about 10 minutes to get the sandwich and didn't disappoint.  Their fries were also tasty.  I'd like to try other items and some of those sides are calling my name.  If only it wasn't so far....

Chef is killing it!! Everything we tried was super delicious… so much  that we came back two days later… and wished we had bigger tummies to pack in all the delish being dished out from his wonderful kitchen!  Tried the Tamarind Mushrooms with a side of carrots and plantains… so so good. And the oxtail cheese sandwich with a side of Green Goddess string beans… such juicy and flavorful oxtail. Also tried the fried black rice as a side. Great texture.  Our adjoining dinner was enjoying her fish special- and that looked so good too! Will have to come back…

SOOOOOO YUMMY !! The person taking my order was really sweet and everyone else working there seemed super nice! I usually don't leave reviews but I had to this time. The chicken was really good, and i loved their sides!! Got the mac n cheese and roasted corn. Will definitely come back :

The food and service was so good. The chefs are handsome and hospitable When I first came and asked for the oxtail grilled cheese, they were out and said that it would be ready the next day. I had to come back and try it and it was delicious!

Thoroughly impressed with every twist they have with staple items. The jerk tamarind mushrooms were amazing Almost felt like I was eating chicken. String beans perfect texture garlicky. Chefs kiss**

stopped by on a Sunday. Ordered 1/4 chicken and sweet potatoes. Oh my, the best combination. The chicken was extremely flavored, moist and seasoned well. I would definitely come back.

Please place my five stars to the 5th power and multiply that!  I took a very impressive client to Fat Fowl and we got lost in the amazement of the chef and under chefs presentation of other meals until we orded multiple meals.  We took our meals to DUMBO and found a setting off of the water.  People were stopping and asking, "do they sell that here" tha's how powerful the presentation is.  If you close your eyes you might be able to imagine how much better the taste of our meals were. I frequent the Dekalb Market and was intrigued by this new establishment due to the Caribbean influences. The name alone Fat Fowl made me nostalgic as it reminded me of Home. I had the opportunity to visit with my sister for Sunday Lunch and it did not disappoint. The chicken was succulent and we enjoyed all of our sides. As a fan of Mac and Cheese, I will say it is one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The menu is extensive and will appeal to everyone. It is Caribbean cuisine that is done well. The customer service was also great.  I extend my gratitude to the chef and team, who went out of their way to ensure our first time wouldn’t be our last. Wish I took better pictures. I will next time !

hadn't been in the food hall in a while. Saw this place  figured why not , newer place  let's see. Ordered oxtail grilled cheese with a side cauliflower w/ almond butter sauce.  Staff is friendly. Nice vibe. You can watch them cook which I like. Prices are in line but reasonable for the food hall  your not finding budget meals in this mall lol Food is excellent.  Side could have been a little hotter in temp but was good otherwise . But omg the sandwich was excellent.  Def a fave.  Like this place hope they get good business to stay . Try them if your in DT Brooklyn in looking for something different.

I was so hungry and I had been looking for something refreshing and hearty but with a twist. Discovered this place in the heart of downtown Brooklyn and found some of my favorites like Ox Tail sandwich and the Fat Fowl Four-Quarter Chicken… !
