I ordered the oxtail and chicken bowl and it was delicious. The oxtails were cooked perfectly. Chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly. My partner ordered the jerk chicken bowl which they enjoyed the flavors. Service was a little slow because it’s buffet chipotle style. Seating is awkward and limited. I didn’t enjoy sitting with strangers and hearing their conversation. I suggest ordering to go. Prices were affordable. I highly recommend you going to try this out for yourself. It is worth the trek through traffic. I will definitely return and order to go.
A coworker took me to this restaurant to treat me to lunch for my birthday. Quick service, nice seating area although high stool seating and the Jamaican music playing in the background gives diner a nice Caribbean feel. The line never ended from the time we got there until we left. The food is quite tasty and a nice selection of the Jamaican sodas. Will definitely purchase again.
Oh my , this is my new favorite Jamaican spot. I love this spot because it captures the vybez , the food , the essence and flavors of what Jamaican food is supposed to taste like. The jerk chicken and sauce really reminds me of jerk pan days back homemissing the beer though. The old school music playing in the background and their punches rum and blue devil drinks are just made the whole experience awesome. I am very critical of my Jamaican restaurant so when I find good Jamaican, dung ah yaah food that's good I will spread the food. I had the jerk bowl with rice and peas, with veggies and a rum punch. The portion of the bowl is good for person or two in people can share. The rum punch is just rum and flavors but more rum. The food was amazing
Food is great. And prices are good for the portions. I've been here twice and I always have food left over for the next day. Both times I had the oxtails and they were extremely good. I get the honey bbq sauce on top the Oxtail bcuz it gives it an extra sweet taste with the charred corn salsa. The steamed cabbage amazing. Plantains amazing. I gave it 4 stars bcuz the staff aren't very welcoming. Their faces are always screwed up. Idk why but other than that the food is AMAZING!!!
Been here a couple times, service is okay, they could be more attentive. The Rasta pasta was good, real spicy, I had the Mac forgotten to take a pic it was busting out the frame! So good. The tiki drink was absolutely good. The spike hot chocolate was good too.
Food was delicious. If you from jamaica or visit there a lot. Food here will remind you of home or that place you visit so often. Staff here is friendly and cool. Yes a Caribbean restaurant with no “Attitude” lol rare occurrence but true! Deff Get that Jerk chicken oxtail Mix up! TREAT YO SELF! Poetic Approved
Stopped in for a bowl. Had boneless jerk chicken. Food is really nice—well seasoned, chicken is tender and flavorful, rice and beans are good. Plantains are tasty. Expensive bowl but large portion of food. Would def come back to try other proteins.
Went here on my lunch break by chance. The food was delicious and well seasoned! My favorite was the plaintains and oxtails...Not to mention the portion size was huge. I will definitely come here again.
Went here the other day to try a bowl after getting out of work. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I've been looking for a place for oxtails for a while now. The oxtails were nice and tender. Wasn't a fan of the callaloo but I liked the steam cabbage. A bit expensive but the portions were generous. Will definitely go back again. Wheelchair accessibility: There's an accessible entrance on Duffeild street.
Imani Grill has been my new favorite restaurant in downtown Brooklyn until today. I purchased my usual jerk Chicken, green salad with vegan delight. My chicken was not cooked thoroughly. I’m so disappointed. Not sure what happened here. $16.34 down the drain.
