Expensive but oh so convenient so you have to pay - welcome to the new seattle

$3.25 for basic cleaning of a regular shirt! That's insane. Shopped around the area, and they typically range from $2 - 2.50. Save your money, since they're not providing any added value.

I brought 2 brand new dresses here to have the sleeves shortened, and the hem shortened to mid-knee on one of them. The seamstress pinned the hem, but the mirror in the lobby is not full length, so I could not see where she pinned while standing up straight. I assumed she was aiming for mid-knee as I'd asked. I thought the length was fine as-is on the 2nd dress, but when I put it on to have the sleeves pinned, the seamstress suggested shortening it slightly. I said that I thought the length was fine already, but she insisted it would be better if it were hemmed. She's the expert, or so I assumed, so I gave the ok. When I picked them up, the charge was $154. Even the clerk thought it was a mistake and called the owner. It was not a mistake. My fault for not asking how much they charged for alterations, I guess. However, I've had many alterations performed elsewhere in the past, and historically paid about 1/3 as much for the exact same amount of work, so I think my sticker shock was legit. To his credit, the owner took $50 off the bill. $104 is still highway robbery, though, if you ask me. Worse was that the seamstress had talked me into having the 2nd dress hemmed when I didn't think it was necessary, which I can see now was just to jack up the bill another $40. The hems were done to mid-thigh, not mid-knee. If I lift my arms even slightly, both dresses ride up to crotch level. They're basically long shirts now; I can't wear them without pants underneath. I took them back to see if they could be corrected and the owner argued with me for 10 minutes, repeatedly claiming that they'd done exactly as I asked when obviously they had not. At one point he actually suggested that I return the dresses to Target, where I purchased them, as if Target accepts altered returns. So, basically, he was suggesting that Target should refund me for the original cost of the dresses because now they're ruined, but I wasn't entitled to a refund from him for the botched alterations that caused them to be ruined in the first place. I said that I wasn't interested in arguing - the dresses could not be returned; my only interest was in having them fixed so that I could wear them, and I wanted to know how much more that was going to cost. He continued to argue that the dresses didn't need "fixing" because they had done exactly what I wanted. I can't think of anything more futile than continuing to argue over whether I wanted the dresses that short when I am standing right there asking how much it would cost to re-do the hems because they are shorter than what I wanted. Rather than answer my question and potentially squeeze a little more business out of me before losing me as a customer forever, he preferred to continue arguing while claiming that he was not, in fact, arguing. I still can't get past the fact that, against my better judgment, I was actually trying to give this dude MORE money, and all he wanted to do was argue. This is some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Finally, I simply thanked him for his time and left with my dresses. I took them to another tailor who, unfortunately, confirmed that they're ruined because not enough fabric was reserved to let the hems out more than maybe 1/2". My options at this point are to pay even more money to have them turned into blouses, or to get rid of them. If I cut my losses and just get rid of them, then I spent $92/ea on $40 dresses that I never got to wear. What a waste. Unless you enjoy paying astronomical prices to have your brand-new-with-tags clothes ruined and horrible customer service that would rather argue with you all day instead of offering viable solutions to problems they created, take your business elsewhere.

This was my first time trying this cleaner. I paid for cleaning 2 shirts when I dropped them off, and when I returned 2 days later the woman couldn't find my shirts. So, she then says that I already picked them up because they were paid for. Not so. She then calls up the man in the back, who begins to argue that I'd already picked them up, as the invoice shows they were paid for, (disregarding that the drop-off date and paid-for date shown on the invoice were the same, and they don't do same day turn-around). I explain again that I paid for them when I dropped them off, (assuming as I did that we're all acting in good-faith and so why not be expedient and pay ahead of time). After a bit more arguing that I'd already picked them up, they check again and find the shirts ready for pick-up. Shady characters, I won't be back.
