Loved camping here!  The campsites are decently secluded. This park displays TRUE FLORIDA. Yeah sure beaches are nice but nothing compares to Florida's nature. Thank you for being authentic and preserving my home state's natural beauty. 

The park rangers were also very nice and made sure you had the gate code to get in after hours. I would comment about the bath house. However, they will be going through a renovation this summer. So there's nothing to really say about them. I look forward to being able to return. This park is also conveniently close to my land. See you all next year!

Great little campground.  Old Florida.  Saw birds,  deer,   etc.  Very nice.  Rangers fine just grumpy old men,  loved them.  Tick season on coast but we had no problems.  Well run will be back.

This is beautiful FL park. The campsites are nice and well kept. But the bathrooms need to be updated. The bathrooms aren't necessarily dirty... just old and the showers are in rough shape. We had one big problem... we stayed at site 10 and it seems it was infested with ticks. I know that there's a chance of ticks at any campground but we have stayed at many state parks and this is the first that we've noticed ticks as a real problem. I noticed one on each of my three children within the first hour of arriving. When we arrived home, I checked my kids all over and my oldest had three on him. I had one and my husband had one.

Long drive back into the campground, roads bumpy while bringing in the camper. Not as bad while doing the day to day driving without the camper.
Sites are well maintained and large. Nice newer picnic tabels.
Restrooms need updated very old. Sink is stained from rust. They are clean, just old.
No washer and dryer like most of the other state parks.
Rangers or staff not at the check in area to check you in. Note on door said closed.
Filled out paper work which was located outside the office.  When in 30 mins if that we had a ranger at our site giving us our receipt and bulletin and maps for the park. Very nice staff, friendly. Seen staff out patrolling the park and talking to campers our whole visit.

Always a great place for a short hike, it's beautiful. The end of plantation trail is a great picnic spot on the water. We love going here
