First of all, the staff is very friendly. The place looks small from the outside but is roomy and comfortable inside. My husband and I both tried the pulled pork. We found it to be excellent: lean, tender with some bark (dark, crunchy bits). There are 3 sauces -a sweet, a hot and a bourbon. We liked the bourbon BBQ sauce with some hot added to it.

We both tried the baked beans which my husband liked but I found to be too sweet. The mac and cheese was good and the seasoned shoestring fries were crispy and hot as they are made-to-order. The dinner rolls are deep fried. My husband bought a second roll as soon as he took the first bite of the one on his plate. We also enjoyed the spicy pickles.

Overall, we had a good meal and are looking forward to returning to try the brisket and the ribs.

Great barbeque food.  Pulled pork with hearty sides.  Their barbecue menu has everything from marinated pulled chicken and pork to ribs, fish, and brisk.  They also have a great array of award winning sauces.  We hit this place whenever we are traveling through the south.  Love it.

This place is super awesome. Good food and friendly staff, including the bosses. Excellent environment. Sad to see the Whipps go, looking forward to getting one tonight.

Was in the hunt for a great bbq place near work and I came across this gem. Food was AMAZING, service was quick and friendly, and I was able to get a lunch combo with a drink for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I've had a lot of BBQ locally and in many parts of the country, including regions known for great "Q" (Memphis, Kansas City, Dallas). FDKY does not disappoint.
Good, smoky flavor and the meat is never dried out. I've had their brisket, pulled pork and ribs. All are very good. 
Several sauces are available (Sweet/spicy, Carolina, Hot, Bourbon based). They're tasty and the only complaint is that they aren't very thick. It's not a problem to me because they taste good. 
They offer lunch specials (sandwich with choice of meat, one side and drink). It's a fair deal and puts the other area 'Q' joints at a disadvantage.
Update 4/2018
FDKY still offers great food but I've found over the past months that menu prices have increased and the lunch specials previously offered are no longer availalbe. This advantage over the local 'Q' competition no longer exists. Not a complaint per se, but worth mentionng to maintain the intent of this review.
