While a member with no problems everything was ok. Customer service is horrible, wanted to cancel account back in December as my credit card had been stolen. Called in to cancel was told didn't have to worry as I am month to month... In late January got a letter stating I owed $59 and had to go in doesn't care employee lied. Just to keep the yearly dues rolling in. Planet fitness or LA fitness are better choices in my experience.. will be reporting to the BBB

A $10 a month for the gym membership, it's hard to find any room for complaints. Their equipment is well-maintained, and plenty of room to do yoga or exercising and stretching if you need to. Bathrooms are provided and kept pretty clean, and plenty of room for weightlifting and using machines.

I really enjoy working out here. It's $10 a month, so of course you're not getting the amenities that you might desire from a larger club, but they have all the equipment you need for a good workout. The staff is always welcoming too, which I cannot say about LifeTime Fitness! Highly recommended if you just want a good workout without all the bells and whistles.

This is an awesome club! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Club and equipment is always clean and kept in good repair. Before we joined, we were given a one-week pass and received no pressure to sign a contract during that week. Two years later, when we, sadly, moved from the area and had to end our membership, we encountered no problem then either. If you are looking for a health club that accommodates members of any age or fitness level without any of the BS you usually expect from less scrupulous clubs, Fitness 19 of Farmington Hills is it!

My wife wanted us to switch to a local gym closer to our house and maybe even save some money after we cancelled our previous membership due to a work related injury I had. They were running an offer at the time but when you went to sign up, that low rate obviously had a catch. I ended up signing my wife and I at a much higher monthly cost and took them up on their free one-on-one with a trainer offer for first time subscribers. The trainer was a teenager and extremely inexperienced. I had taken a long break from training due to a work related accident and had put on weight so I wasn't as agile nor had the endurance as before the weight gain. I insisted he didn't push me too much but he must had thought I was making excuses or wanted to show me how optimally his teenage body works. There wasn't much in the way of questions. Needless to say I went to cancel my membership because my wife never went once and my experience was extremely unpleasant. When I went in to cancel they simply refused to give me the cancellation forms to sign. Offer after offer trying to keep me on a monthly payment that I would not utilize. I also couldn't help notice that whilst they were shuffling between managers they were talking about me in whispers (probably how I failed miserably with the trainer and to my shame that I had a work related accident that I had no control over and kept me bed bound atrophying my muscles and putting on weight, to my shame that I decided to join a gym and make a difference in my life, I deserved every one of their snide smirks). When they finally finished haggling and agreed to cancel my membership they topped another two months one for myself and one for my wife because they didn't get a 30 day cancellation notice. Also my wife had to sign the cancellation herself even though they had no problem accepting her as a member with my signature (made my wife go and sign). I paid and that was my wonderful experience on my way to better physical health, encouraged, motivated and persuaded by the local fitness gurus. For a similar experience I highly recommend you sign up today. You will be pleasantly surprised with memories to last a life time.
