Fresh burgers with fresh ingredients. Love that they have fresh cut fries and peanuts to snack on while you wait. Only issue I had at the Bloomingdale location off Army Trail, is the attitude from the manager on duty. My daughter has a dairy allergy and he was not very understanding and I don't feel handled the situation correctly. Instead of talking their ingredients he just assumed and was kind of a jerk about it.

Typical good tasting burger. The reviews all over the walls are screaming at you how good their burgers are but if you notice many of those reviews are from areas that are not known for good foods let alone good burgers like our Chicagoland area has. My only issue are the burger sizes are a lil small and the prices are a little high but the toppings are free so thats a bonus. The fries are good, the fresh cut style you find at some local hot dog joints.

The food is very good and if you ever go with a group of friends just a order the large fries it should be enough for up to 4 to maybe 5 people

If a place is expensive, but amazing- they're worth my five stars. If the food is average and expensive, something's wrong with their business model... Like a few others, I really can't fathom why this burger place costs so darn much. I know McDonald's doesn't have squat on so-called 'fresh' burgers, but I received SO much more pleasure while eating the $1.89 Daily Double at McDonald's than my Five Guys burger. Basically, I demand a good taste-to-value ratio from all my food. If it tastes REALLY amazing, I am willing to part with $10-12 for something basic like a hamburger. However, the Five Guys burger was no better than the $3.50 hamburger from Portillo's and it was messier simply due to the way they stacked and cut the ingredients (sliced onions and tomatoes were cut too thick for a burger). Also, the beef is not 'Kobe beef,' so there's no reason for the price hike incurred here. I gave an extra star for the fries, which are home-cut and very good. Unfortunately, this place is not convenient to get to, overpriced and kind of looks like White Castle (hospital-like), so it's an all-around turnoff for me and I will not go back. Portillo's, you are still king of the mountain.
