Never had a problem with FPL. Pay my bill online which is a snap.

Terrible. Sad that we don't have options and have to struggle through times like this after Irma.

What better status in life but to operate a monopoly. I closed my account after moving from my apartment. I called and made a "final payment" over the phone, but they turned over a $13 charge to a collection agency 3 months later. I then called to settle the charge and was given nothing but "I'm sorry but..." I know this review does nothing since there's no competition. You don't have a choice. Tread lightly. Best of luck.

Probably the worst provider of electrical service in the world. The power literally goes off multiple times a day, every day of the week during the summer. You see we have daily thunderstorms, which FPL blames for the brief interruptions in service (most last under one minute). The problem is they simply don't care about reliable electrical service and they think we are idiots. Don't they realize we have friends in other neighborhoods that experience the same thunderstorms and don't experience the repeated daily loss of power? Don't they realize that we have family in other cities served by FPL, that we ourselves own other property in Fort Myers, and that we have lived in many places in the U.S.? All of these places have thunderstorms, yet somehow manage to keep the power on. We are not talking about downed lines, it is simply lightning strikes causing voltage fluctuations that trip the FPL breakers and briefly interrupts the power only in a certain part of Fort Myers grid. Instead of owning the problem, that the FPL electrical service around the Alico Center Road core is completely inadequate, they simply blame the weather. FPL is too cheap to fix the problem. Why should I pay for absolutely abysmal service? Oh yeah, they are a monopoly. We have many visitors from small villages in third world countries that are shocked at how poor the electrical service is here. The utility companies in rural India, China and Mexico manage to maintain power during lightning storms, but not FPL. They might live in hovels at the end of dirt roads, but at least they have reliable power. Although FPL is a laughingstock of a company, the joke is really on its customers.

Unbelievably inconvenient place to make bill payment. They don't accept Visa card. What business doesn't accept a Visa card? There's not even locations listed on their website where you can pay in person.
