Great spot to hike around and enjoy a historical site. Nearby beaches are calm and quiet, perfect for families looking to find water away from the beach-scene. Ideal spot for visiting to watch the Blue Angels routine practices which include routes directly overhead the westernmost beach. Highly recommended to visit the park. Drive slow and protect the local wildlife!

Pretty cool old fort for the kiddos to run around. Certainly not as impressive as Fort Sumpter, but there's still plenty of interesting stuff to spend a half day here.
