Brought my wife here with a laceration and bleeding and sat in the waiting area for nearly an hour. Unless your dying probably best to go to well key urgent care. I brought her here cause it was close. I would not bring my family here again. I get a much faster service at UT Medical

I came into the ER with all kinds of serious issues, and I got admitted and sent to the 6th floor because I'm pregnant as well. I had two surgeries done that were pretty serious and tossed me into a high risk pregnancy category, and not only did they do an amazing job at taking care of me through the surgeries, but they've been incredibly attentive and careful with my unborn child. I couldn't be happier with how well I've been taken care of. They're a fantastic group of individuals that deserve a lot of credit for how well they do their jobs. I can't thank them enough for keeping me alive as well as my child.

I was told by the woman that was checking patients in that I shouldn't have to wait long since I was experiencing right thoracic/chest pain. Three more patients showed up after me, and all were admitted before me. I'm not entirely sure why, since they didn't seem to be worse off than I was. After sitting for about 45 minutes (which wasn't bad, I've had to wait hours at other hospitals, Tennova being one of those), the E.R./Triage nurse that takes vitals ushered me into her room to take my vitals. She was very rude. She kept asking me what exactly hurt on my body and I kept insisting that it was my right lung and part of my sternum. She got upset when I couldn't exactly tell her what organ was causing me pain. She sat there on her phone, trying to find the "correct" body part to put on her chart. When I told her that I went to my regular doctor earlier in the week, she rudely asked me why my doctor didn't just do a follow up with labs. I simply told her I had no idea. She had short blonde hair, a bob like cut, with glasses I think. She then brought me to a stretcher which was in the hall way of all places in a corridor. I didn't mind not having a room, mainly because I didn't want to sit in the lobby forever. The doctor was very prompt, I saw him shortly after being put in the hall way. He was very nice and thorough, and his physician's assistant offered to give me a blanket which was very nice! After this, the first vampire nurse I was to encounter showed up. I'm not sure where they teach nurses on how to draw blood, but this nurse was AWFUL. She poked me once and then told me she would need to poke me again because she couldn't get any blood out. I drink a lot of water, so it wasn't because my veins were dehydrated. On top of that, she started gossiping about one of her fellow nurse co-workers and how no one is helpful and she just wishes they would shut up and leave her alone. I thought this was unprofessional, but whatever, maybe she needed to let off steam. After this, I waited.. and waited...a different nurse came back and told me my blood would have to be redrawn a 3rd time because one of the tubes messed up? Ok.. this time she did it in my hand and actually was good at what she was doing, unlike the other younger nurse who I saw before. I waited more... finally, I was told that I would need to be hooked up to a heart monitor and I would need a CT scan of my lungs. This is where hallway hospital rooms become awkward. There was a man, also on a stretcher, also in the hallway, right next to my stretcher. I had to lift up my dress to get the heart monitor cords on and it felt awkward doing this in a hallway. They did bring dividers so that no one could see what was happening. I went in the E.R. around 1:15 PM and I had to wait until about 6:30 to have the CT scan that the doctor ordered. They took numerous patients before me for CT scans, patients that had showed up AFTER me. It took another 45 minutes for the doctor to tell me that he got the results and wanted me to have an ultra sound. I had to then wait until about 7:45 for the ultra sound. FINALLY around 8:30 I was discharged. Over all, the hospital wasn't that bad. The doctor was fantastic (Dr. McDonald) and was very thorough. I was very pleased with his level of care and his bed side manner. My nurse, Tricia, was also very friendly. She even plugged my phone in for me because I couldn't reach it. I gave 4 stars for the amount of time it took for a simple CT scan and ultra sound. I don't think it should have taken 5 hours for a CT scan and ultra sound. One patient who had come in after me even passed me by in the hallway and said, WOW YOU'RE STILL HERE!?!? Other than that, everyone seemed very nice and professional, except for the first nurse I had and the triage/vital nurse. The 2nd nurse I had, Tricia, was very good, professional, and nice. Dr. McDonald is AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I attached a photo of my arm so you can see what the vampire nurse did to it in trying to find a vein.
