They took great care of my wife, whom really needed help when she visited.  They got her straightened out & on the right track.  They keep patients 3-7 days typically (which is a short-stay for what they're doing, honestly).  My wife had a good (sometimes boring) experience and received great treatment.  The office-staff weren't always helpful because they were so disconnected from the staff in the treatment portion of the hospital, but I think they made a good effort.  If I had any complaint, it's that the follow-up outpatient visits upon exiting were not scheduled soon enough or frequent enough.  Also, be patient with your loved one upon exiting.  They help, but it's up to outpatient care & the family to really help support their loved one on track afterward.  Thank you, Peninsula!

I was treated very well as a patient. Communication with my family was great. They kept my family up to date and well involved with my care and treatment. Nursing staff is wonderful and treatment with the on site therapist was very beneficial and appropriate for my after care planning. Would highly recommend if help was needed for mental issues or treatment for problems with addiction. Thanks for the wonderful care !!!!

I was in the children's unit. I'm going to be completely honest, I got food poisoning from this rice and steak they made. Plus, you stay in one room all day doing nothing, which I'm pretty sure doesn't help you overcome your depression lmao. And when a little girl was being annoying and out of control beating on the walls and starting stuff and cursing around everyone, they didn't do anything (this was during a call from a family member, and they gave me extra minutes which I was kind of happy about). This was all last year, so I don't know if it has changed. I feel like this place didn't make me feel better at all. The staff was horrible, and they didn't watch us almost at all. This place is extremely fake and unhelpful, and I forgot his name but there was a specific doctor, and when you told him your problems he didn't do anything to help. Actually, he tried calling me wrong. And when I was sick he tried to make me stay for more days against my will but I got discharged before he came back to work. Fake & horrible.

the psychiatrist is really good and just prescribes medication 
my cousins wouldnt see me and i was homeless in 13 states in 2013. i was on an unfamiliar bus route and wanted to go back downtown.

Its a wonderful hospital with really awesome staff members. The doctors are really nice and treat you like family.
