I've gone here several times for Saturday special trash drop off (specifically electronics & small appliances). Employees are friendly & helpful. I believe this facilility is only open Saturday mornings until around 2 or 3 pm. Check dc.gov website for exact hours. As of February 2018 they DO accept paint & construction debris. 

I usually go before 10:30 am Sat morning & have never had to wait. However got there a little after 11 am & waited in line about 10-15 minutes. Have your DC drivers license or DC resident ID ready. You MUST be a DC resident to use this facility.

Great option for DC residents who need to haul away big items lying around the home and has gotten around to calling the bulk pickup. Only wished the opened before 1:00pm.
