DUMP "e" restrictions on CDLs. It is amazing how many divisions of roadways we have here in the US. I was just reviewing the FMCSA, as the trucking industry is hurt by new prospective drivers, crazy DOT laws that are very elaborate and have raised the price of trucking so high, we are not getting people behind the wheel of trucks anymore. This is because of too elaborate of CDL tests, strict laws that are so overplayed that even a chip in the windshield is an out of service violation. It's understandable that suspension defects are important, but some of this stuff is ridiculous, let alone how long a person spends in the scale house over petty things. So let's start with the basic fixes: -Ditch the E restriction. For CDL drivers. Honestly, they aren't going to be able to roll the vehicle in the first place if they can't drive manual. So why have it. I know many drivers that have "E" restrictions and would LOVE to start learning how to drive a manual, but aren't allowed to, because they have to retake the test. -Compensate professional drivers their fuel costs if you are going to scale them or haul them in. -If speed limit safety REALLY matters, the sign shouldn't be WHITE. Highway number signs are WHITE. Instead, maybe outlight the boarder color of the sign with like, idk PURPLE. It needs to be something that catches the eye. -Child Safety belt laws are OUT Of control. What's next, strap in a 16 year old driver into a booster seat, because they wreck too much. Get real. -A New provision needs to be in place for owner-operators that are UNDER 3 semi trucks. We are talking about the little guy that farms or does MINIMAL work. With the new standards that you have, you put owner-operators OUT of business pretty much. We are talking about what fueled the trucking growth in the US.

First and foremost, I just want to say Thank You to Mrs. Elaine Chao ma'am for heading The United States Department Of Transportation. With myself living in Central Ohio, I have seen the improvements that are being implemented within the COTA bus systems. The WiFi integration into public transit is a really great way I think to move The United States Of America into the correct direction in regards to where the World is going in this day and age approaching the year 2018. I know this review is very direct, but Thank You for what you do for The United States Of America United States Department Of Transportation.

The employees are rude. Always jaywalking. The traffic jams because they do not know how to utilize a intersection. Overall bringing down the neighborhood.
