We were married here just over a year ago now and the place is simply amazing!!! Certainly every corner was a picture perfect spot and certainly a rare gem! Everyone there was very charismatic and friendly!! Our only issue was that of the bartender needing independent license instead of being covered under the restaurant liquor license. We found out the week before that we wouldn’t be able to have a bartender even for simple Champaign for the toasts and some beers with a two limit per person. In fact we almost couldn’t even do champagne for the toasts but finally was able to talk them into letting us at least the toasts as we found out so late about their requirements about the bartender. They controlled the champagne and kept it under lock and key just about which we found just utterly condescending. While they really went out of their way to make you feel like family, they don’t really communicate or even try and discuss concerns like we had with the bartender. The ladies were really nice and I adored talking with them very much, I just wish we were able to really plan things out better and had more upfront knowledge.

I stayed with a group of friends at The Boathouse. It was clean, organized, cozy, and the fully stocked kitchen made us feel at home. Everything about the location was amazing (the view, pond, creek). Definitely coming back!

Let’s see if I can put this into words… We arrived at night. The gravel road was well maintained and easily navigated. The cabin welcomed us. The air was fresh and clear and endless stars filled the night sky to the tranquil sounds of Rich Creek. The porch light lit our way up the stars where firewood was neatly stacked. We stepped inside…beautiful hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, and striped log cabin walls. The nautical theme was present throughout the home. A small wooden boat hung from the ceiling, a lighthouse above the fireplace, and a pair of oars secured the way to the loft. The fire crackled; the wood was dry and started with ease. A perfect end to our evening. We awoke well rested. Relaxing beds, comfortable linens, and soft towels. With curtains opened, the morning sun spilled in from every angle. The kitchen was well stocked. Appliances were clean and modern. Plates, pots, and glasses rested above the counter on open shelves while coffee mugs hung above the Keurig. We make our way outdoors…the grounds are clean and open. Rich Creek is now visible and runs the full length of the property. This paradise is shared by the Boathouse, the Cowboy Cabin, and the Baitshop. Our stay was perfect and we look forward to many future visits.

Very beautiful, great service, however having to shuttle between buildings and climb stairs to get to the venue is really inconvenient.

Really great location, kitchen set, fireplace, view, etc. Everything was clean, working and well presented.
