The reason this is not a two-star rating is because their customer service merits five stars+. They always exhibit a customer-centered attitude. You can tell they value their customers.   

Unfortunately, the quality of their work deserves about 2.5 stars. After a tune-up, I began to notice things that necessitated repeated trips back for adjustments that really did not resolve the issues, from simple things like brake pads rubbing on the wheel to slightly more complicated, like gear-shifting. I don't know if it's normal to have to bring your bike in a third time after a tune-up, but I'm done. Additionally, I would suggest that they do not use the word like parts "cleaned" as part of the tune-up, because they looked just as grimy as before. I asked why and they said they wipe it down with a solvent. You could have fooled me. Maybe they wiped it once?

These guys fixed my bike up quickly and gave me great information on good bike light options, all at a very reasonable price!

I started using Freewheeler when I arrived in Davis 7 years ago and have never felt the need to go elsewhere.  They are always interested in doing what is right for me.  Their mechanical skills are superior and their customer service is top tier.  I recommend them highly without reservation.

Our family has done business with the Freewheeler many times, for children and for our adults.  The owners and staff are amazing.  They are extremely competent, helpful and honest, helping with facts to help us determine what to purchase or not purchase, both in services and in bikes.  I cannot imagine a better place to shop for bicycle needs.

I've purchased six bikes from The Freewheeler over the years and one thing I can say about their customer service is that it is consistently good. Another thing I can say for certain is that I will continue to bring my business to them for as long as they're around and I have legs to pedal with.
