In 1949 the late Cosimo (Gus) Fricano, founded what is believed to be the first pizzeria in Michigan, Fricano's Pizza Tavern, in Grand Haven with the original thin crust pizza pie. Served since 2003 at Fricano's Pizza Restaurant on Alpine Ave.

The food was delicious! The staff we're on point, hilarious, caring, and made us feel like we were at home. We had a large group come in unannounced and she handle it like a champion. I would definitely go back for dinner multiple times during the week!

Have been going to Fricano's for over 40 years and it's still the best pizza ever. Amazing consistency over the years. I have to laugh at those uninformed idiots who complain about the 1 size and "limited" toppings. For 66 years it has been exactly the same. In Grand Haven Fricano's is an institution of unequalled success. 1 size - same toppings. Don't like it - fantastic! More for me...

We were here on one of their live music nights.  Place was packed, service slow.   Have been there before on music nights & its always the same story:  Not enough wait staff for good service.   Servers were stressed, not exactly friendly and could not handle the number of patrons.   I joined friends at their table & even though the server brought THEIR order she completely ignored me.  The next time she walked by i stopped her & jokingly asked if I was invisible.  Her response was terse & it took 1/2 hour to get my drink order/ I never got a refill.  The only reason we go back is that we are friends with a couple of the bands & like to support them.   Don't think we'll go back again.

Someone must be getting paid to enter false positive reviews. Served with small cheap paper plates, sub par service/under staffed, as well as pretty awful pizza. No bread sticks or cheese bread offered but basically frozen loaf of garlic bread with melted shredded cheese on it and nasty marinara if that's what is was. Super thin crust drowning in cheese. Crust so thin they use scissors to cut the pizza slices. Dont even have white milk so not a family friendly restraurant. Wouldn't recommend at all!! It's like the taco bell of pizza if drunk I'm sure it would be awesome.

We ,John, Nancy and her dad enjoy are self,had pizza, salad, Doug Fricano's came and sat down and talk ,the service was great, next Tuesday is the car show,make sure your car is ready see there,I will be driving a 1961 Mercury comet.
