Story

Frida Bistro is named after Frida Kahlo, a passionate Mexican artist who expressed herself by painting her life. Her passion for art and unique style made her one of the pre-eminent luminaries of modern Mexican art in the 20th century.

It's a hidden gem. Not many people know about it....but highly highly recommended. We tried their fish tacos and veggie enchilada... And both were amazing. The taste was authentic and fresh for all the dishes. We had their nachos too... Which came with interesting salsas on the side.

The restaurant is in an industrial area. There's a little hesitant about what it would look like. However, the restaurant was beautifully decorated a lot of of Mexican heritage. My husband got the chili relleno which is one of the best ones he's had. I got the shrimp dish that was simmered in tomatoes and chilies with rice. The food was delicious had lots of flavor. The only thing I would complain about is they didn't pull the tails off the shrimp.They had an good variety of margaritas. The food is well priced for the portions.

The ambiance this restaurant is great, especially if you love Frida Kahlo like I do. The food was a wonderful Fusion of tastes. The drinks were very good, I recommend the pepper martini. My only concerns is that I feel it was a bit overpriced, you have to pay for chips and salsa, and they don't split tickets at a table. Other than that the place was amazing and I plan on going back many times in the future.

One of the best, if not the best, upscale Mexican restaurant in Salt Lake City. Delightful dining room, impeccable service, tremendous food. Highly recommended.

This is a favorite although the last time there it wasn’t quite as good as prior times. Food is upscale Mexican as well as the cocktails. I like the pineapple jalapeño margarita.
