UPDATED FEB 2018
My sister and I are here over 2 years and we "liked" it here in the beginning but not fond of the neighbors who smoke all day long on their patio.  We'd like to air out our windows but smokers have their way always.. Also, the receptionist is not so friendly. 
If you smoke your brains out then you will love this place. Too bad because I like John, the manager. But this place is not for us.

After reading the reviews on this park and the fact that we lived there for two years I felt I must give my opinion.  We enjoyed our time living at Orangewood!  The location is fantastic to drive wherever in Phoenix and the surrounding areas.  Rent costs are comparable to the area.  What I found was that people don't seem to want to take care of the home they purchased and they are living in and expect management to do it.
People should take responsibility to take care of their home and adjacent grounds that they are responsible for, don't blame the management for your own problems.
Dog poop bags are provided free throughout the park.  If you see someone not picking it up, report it to management and they will address it.  But if you just let the ignorant person who will not pick up after their pet it will continue.  While there is construction going on in this park to update the infrastructure which is a great sign that the park is there to stay, I suggest instead of blaming everyone else for your personal problems , take ownership and clean up your mess!
My wife and I both recommend this park!  The only reason we moved as we bought a home closer to our children, but we truly enjoyed our stay at the Friendly Village of Orangewood!!!

Only one star because unable to give zero stars.  John Thompson who left a review himself and his fat wife Michelle arevthe worst.  They evict prematurely in order to conduct a yard sale of residents belongings and pocket the money.  Then they laugh and brag about it later.  I’m ashamed of these managers.  If you move into this community you will soon regret as many others have.

The management staff r not as friendly as they appear at first.  And not all of the residents r friendly... Most of them r if I could give management alone I would only give them 2 1/2 stars & the residents would get 3 1/2...

I am a guest here and the management is harrassing my friends about moving someone in that isnt on lease! You are allowed guests for up to 14 days!
