Going to Fry's is a hit-and-miss experience for me. Sometimes they're fantastic. Other times, getting someone to help you is a chore at best. The store has changed drastically over the years. Where they once had rows of computer games, today there's not really a market so today they have cell phones and drones.

The selection is almost always between decent and great.

The downside is that there are some items that are not exactly where you would expect to find them, and on a day where you can't get help, this makes an inconveneince much more.

Still, though, 2/3 of the time the help is easy to find and they get you what you need quickly if it's not something you can just find on your own.

I seriously love this store.  They have EVERYTHING you could even think of in an electronics store.  The only negative is the employees sadly are on commission and you really can tell.  If you are like me you enjoy being left alone and want to explore the options and isles to your own liking.  But at this location its all about getting your name on a receipt for that commission.  This hasn't stopped me from visiting its just a negative to every visit and limits the amount of time I enjoy actually being in the store.  It being a bigger store its not too difficult to hide from the employees and enjoy this Costo of tech to yourself.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.  This place used to be the cat's pajamas.  Great deals are long gone.  Questionable quality in the items they sell.  Horrible stocking levels.  Cleanliness is out the window.  I get depressed at what this store could be compared to what it is.   I want to love Fry's, but in this condition, I just can't.

If you are a gadgets and electronics person, this is your place. Unbeatable selection and they price match everything - even stuff found on the internet. It has everything you could need electronics wise, and maybe more. The store is huge too. It's hard to see from one end to the other. I had a hard time finding the check-out and had to follow the signs. Oh, and if you go here just to browse you could easily spend a couple of hours doing that and still not see everything. But if you're looking for something specific, the staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable. I can't recommend this place enough. This is my Disneyland.

Three stars for ambiance.  Five stars for selection.  It averages out to four. :-)
Aside from component sales (there are better places) they have nearly anything you could want four computing.  There's a decent selection of video and audio.  Lots of hobby stuff, software, games, phones, appliances.  You will lose track of time. You will spend money. Deal with it.
