The PC parts department for RAM did their job very well even while they were busy. I walked around the store and gathered all the items I needed. I then went to the keyboards and selected a wireless keyboard.  All of the packages had been torn open so I asked at the counter for an open box discount. The guy looked inside and discovered that there was no wireless key dongle. So he walked over and got another open box and checked it. He told me he would take care of the paperwork. He put a piece of blue painters tape on the box and then asked me for the other items I had gotten without his help to put on the paper. He did not give an open box discount and tried to get all the other items I had listed so he can get the commission for them. He was of no help to me and slyly tried to get a commission. This is not good customer service and shows that the commission model that Fry's employs is very flawed. I will go to Best Buy where they actually have good customer service.

I still enjoy coming to Fry's to pick up hard to find things, but obviously this store is not what it once was.  Witness the hundreds of shopping carts outside, twenty registers at the checkout, but there are hardly anyone inside.  I wonder how these places stay in business.  But the selection is relative good and prices sometimes competitive.  Just be sure you know what you're looking for, because the knowledge of the staff can be very hit or miss.  The layout of this particular store is a little odd in that I can never find what I need right away.

I typically buy all my electronics here, and almost a year ago I bought a tablet. When I bought it, I was offered the protection plan which the salesman specifically told me that accidental drops was covered, and was the only reason I decided to purchase the extra coverage. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE WARRANTY/PROTECTION PLAN. When I brought my tablet back they told me it does not cover drops, and that I was pretty much out of luck. I should have checked the terms before I purchased it, but was not given them till after I had paid for the tablet and plan. I figured I could trust the salesperson. I paid 30%  of the purchase price of the tablet for what amounts to an extended manufacturers warranty, which I was told only covers something like the screen dimming and other stuff that a manufacturer warranty would cover and that list is pretty small. So as far as I'm concerned I will no longer be purchasing more expensive electronics at frys, and will get them through Costco or best buy. It's a shame, because it used to be my favorite store to go to.

I had purchased a refurbished with the Fry's extended warranty in August and in December it started melting in the bottom right-hand corner. They would not honor the extended warranty that I purchased. I will never buy a piece of equipment from Fry's again. Costco covers its warranties. I tried calling Fry's Corporate office I tried calling her store manager who was on vacation I spent more than 3 hours on the telephone with no resolve. Further the manager in the repair department didn't know what he was talking about and his arrogance was extremely bothering. I would have waved Fry's at all costs.

I feel so sorry that the system can't do negative scores, one star is still too high for this store. 
1.They don't do price match to any lower price, even the competitor has local store in same state. Although i agree this point is not strong enough to give negative stars, but they simply won't stop.
2.Their sales has no profession. In my case is the guy can't tell the difference from the monitor panels (TN vs IPS). say, -2 ~ -3 stars for this point.
3.The best part, the sales is trying to selling me demo stuff like new, i see no business ethics, no humanity, only a-hole. Not to mention he lied about demo time. Minus 20 is still not enough for this.

Some note: Fry's only do price match for "Authorized Seller", however, their cannot tell you the "fry's explanation" of "Authorized Seller".
So, the truth, they don't do any price match.
