Story

Full-Circle Café & Espresso Bar was thought up when two Lakeshore High School alumni and a Berrien Springs graduate, decided to show the downtown Stevensville food scene some love. Offering a variety of delicious breakfast and lunch items, and scratch-made baked goods, with an eye on seasonality, sustainability, and local sourcing. All the while, focusing on giving back to the community that has given them so much. A full-service coffee bar featuring Michigan-roasted coffee and espresso drinks will be available to compliment the food selections allowing guests to grab and go, or sit and stay for the free WiFi or to read the paper, meet a friend or colleague, or do some work in an internet café style setting.

Full Circle Café & Espresso Bar is the home base of Everything Sweet Bakery and Cupcakery was started in 2015 by Teri McGuigan and Jayme Surch with a mission to provide our great community with highest quality and best tasting sweets including cupcakes, cookies, cake bite truffles, pies, cakes and more.

Teri is a lifelong resident of Southwest Michigan and graduate of Lakeshore High School. Teri has earned both her Bachelor's degree in Business and her Master's in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University. Since graduation, she has been managing her own catering business, cultivating her very own library of recipes for appetizers, main courses, and side dishes, but has always been most enthralled with developing and creating delicious desserts.

After attending Lake Michigan College, Jayme spent several years bouncing back and forth, and even overlapping, between corporate America and the restaurant industry. In 2012, she finally found her true calling when she became a mother for the first time. This mom of two decided to team up with her longtime BFF in October 2015, and armed with her passion for baking, oodles of historic family recipes and a few nudges along the way, Everything Sweet was launched. Their business has grown exponentially in a short time and their commitment to their give-back program and delicious recipes have earned them a loyal and raving following.

Local musician and food artist, Ryan Bendoski, has been cooking in his home kitchen for friends and family for years and decided to join forces with the girls to kick the menu up a notch. His background includes singing and playing guitar at local restaurants and wineries all year long.

The threesome decided to move forward one of their long-time dreams of operating a café when the Heart of the Beaches Café recently became available. Their need for kitchen space, combined with the need for a bakery storefront and order pick up spot, became an apparent winning combination with their complimentary baked goods. Adding the coffee and utilizing the existing beautiful space just seemed like the best next step.

The café will be open 6 days a week Wednesday-Monday 8am - 3pm beginning in May 2016. The menu will consist of a rotating selection of pastries, muffins, crustless quiche, fruit and yogurt parfaits and pancakes each day, with an expanded lunch menu into the afternoon. Future plans include the addition of evening hours later this summer.
