It's weird to me that they call it "historic pleasure pier" when no where in this place could I find the history of it. It would be such a treat to have a little section of the history. Also there is no arcade on the pier...weak

My family loved pleasure pier. My daughters are three and six. The three year old was able to do 5 rides, and because the lines were so short, she could do them over and over again. There are only 4 rides my six year old couldn't do. We spent probably 6 hours there and everyone enjoyed themselves. Also, I really appreciated the staffs consistent attention to safety protocol.

Wonderful carnival style amusement park. Limited number of rides, but worth the price paid. Great views, and decent food nearby if you don't want carnival/amusement park style eats while you're there. I highly recommend the wrist band for multiple rides.

My wife and I moved here recently, but only got to go here recently. I hadn't been here since it was a hotel back in the day, so it was a nice nostalgia trip. We only purchased a walking pass because there isn't enough rides to warrant the price of the ticket for us. While I was there, one of the water rides broke down too. Took it as an omen, and a good thing I didn't buy a ticket. Might take my niece there when she comes to visit. It is a nice setup.

Overall the pier was a great escape from the TX heat and it brought back memories from my childhood at Santa Monica Pier in CA. The people were great, just make sure you have a clear understanding of what rides your children can get on with what tickets/pass. My 2.5 y/o son seemed to not qualify to ride some of the kiddie rides, while we saw a child about the same age and height as mine go without any hassle from the ride conductors. All in all, I'd like to believe the conductors just didn't spot the other kid but the inconsistency does worry me about safety.
